  1. im sure someone mentioned they were back on ebay the other day, when i do a search on ebay though i get so many varying prices and want to make sure i get the one that will fit the 350z, any help?
  2. ill definitely use that on some of the front panels where someones ring has caught the plastic etc, cheers would it work on the boot though? the damage is so that the plastic is furring and while the crayon may be able to repair the missing color i doubt it would do anything to the furring? maybe i could just tweezer all that off and use the crayon anyway
  3. unfortunately the car i picked up Saturday could have been looked after a bit better on the interior The plastic panels in the boot and around the rear strut have a number of scrapes and scratches on what would be the best way to fix these, if its possible at all? Would sanding down the marks and then repainting the whole panel (to make sure its an even color all over) be the best thing to do? or is there some miracle product i could buy?
  4. cheers for the tips, got my dad to do one at his factory today and he's followed your method and it's come out perfectly but... ...is it possible to take the engine cover off so i can get my dad to paint it while i still use the car or is the engine cover needed when the car is being used?
  5. when i picked mine up on Saturday i was told the same thing, they are selling like hot cakes, when i went to get mine i expected to see another 3 or 4 350'z which they had listed on the site, none were there as they'd all been sold over the last couple of weeks
  6. thats where ive been going wrong then, ive been putting it on too thick, i was probably holding the can too close to the plastic too as the air from the nozzle would sometimes blow the paint away
  7. Hi guys, one of my first mods will be to dress up the engine bay, starting with the two plastic covers. To anyone else who has painted these what was your method? I tried last night on one of them using a spray can of plastic primer but the paint just runs down the sloped sides and leaves dribbles of paint rather than a smooth surface all round, im hoping that a few more layers of primer then a sanding down before the final color is applied will work out ok, am i right?
  8. It says under the pic that she has ps'd it im a guy and yeah it is the azure blue, it wasn't actually very light when i took the photo, so i just overexposed the stuff around the car and the reflectors, nissan burgers etc For some reason I thought you was a sprinkling Might be the slightly femine username i thought the Chuck Norris avatar would man it up a bit

  10. going to do a few styling mods first, changing the front orange reflectors to white ones, also going to paint the engine bay up a bit and perhaps get a stubby aerial, then within the next few months get some spacers
  11. Picked up the car yesterday and its bloody awesome, loving every second of it, i find myself leaving the door open when i turn the ignition just so i can hear that roar, washed it twice already today, i just dont want to be away from it * I touched it up a bit in photoshop
  12. I wouldn't let this put you off buying a good car, because of the shape of the bumper it always get a hammering from stonechips, and unless the owner is having the bumper resprayed every 6 months you are bound to find more than a few. R thats more in there as a hope that the dealer doesn't realise just how common it is or how thin the 350z paint is, might give me a little something to bargain with
  13. What bluetooth bits should there be? Also when you say slipping do you mean it not finding third gear or struggling to find third gear when changing?
  14. Heading up to check out the car i have a deposit on on Sunday morning, want to make sure there isn't anything i forget to check as its a 2 1/2 hour drive, its a 56 GT spec So here's the list i have so far: Check Bose CD player when driving for any skipping Check speakers, isn't there an issue with the left side speakers cutting out sometimes? Make sure rear axle doesn't click Check front bumper for stone scratches Check all bodywork for any scratches Check leather for any marks Check alloys for any curbing Check wheels for tread Check oil consumption or at least ask about it????? Check brakes/pads to see if they'll need changing soon????? How would i check this????? Check clutch????? How would i check this????? Kick the tyres make sure they r ok Check all the bluetooth bits are present Make sure i get both sets of keys See if gearbox crunches Check for uneven tire wear. Check towing eye fits service book history check the PAS fluid level before taking it out for a ride. When it goes below the limit you can get some steering wheel shake which is a bit worrying but it's fine once its been topped up! do a proper check (hpi etc.) on the car prior to going down there just in case! that's a must! DONE, ALL CLEAR Can anyone think of anything else to check? The car has had a major service done in the last few days and the dealer says there's no issues with the car.
  15. A lot of people seem to go with the orange which i do favor, but would like something a bit different too, so which color would you use on your engine bay? There only quick photoshops I'm liking the lime green and grey
  16. the technique is called HDR, which i believe stands for High Dynamic Range, my brother does a lot of his photographs in the same style. think it involves taking a number of images with different exposures and then laying them on top of each other in photoshop. Planning on getting some done of my 350z when i get it here's one of my current car
  17. very nice, was thinking of doing the same to mine when i finally get it
  18. are all 4 images meant to be the same?
  19. excellent, cheers for the info.
  20. is it an obvious gap? or do you have to get up real close to be able to notice it?
  21. are they covered under warranty if they do go? im guessing not
  22. Just want to check, im going to order the cheaper ones from JDM performance, will they be ok for a 56 plate? http://www.jdmperformance.co.uk/item_detail.php?prodID=3958 I agree that the orange isnt really a problem, i do prefer the white though and its a nice cheap easy mod to make the car look a little different.
  23. never thought about this and im hoping to pick mine up next weekend mine will be a 56 plate 2007 registered with 33k miles or so, is it likely the clutch will be going on that soon? The dealer put the car through a nissan service last week and said there weren't any issues with anything, wont be happy if im having to replace the clutch any time soon especially if im looking at £600
