  1. Hi guys,

Apologies if in the wrong section - just thought i'd highlight a few mods.

Not been on here long as a zed owner but loving every second over the past 4 days of ownership.

I am an experienced modder of all my past cars and this one is no exception!

The car was a little tired so i gave it a full clay bar, polish and wax yesterday, replaced the wipers for aeros £11 for all 3, fitted LED no. Plate bulbs £2 a pair, new gear knob £12.99 as the old one was a little tired (now for sale), small stubby 6.5cm aeriel £7.85, £34 for everything just mentioned is money well spent imo

Off for 2 weeks now and have a couple of other bits on order, including alloy repair kit, dent remover, fitting LED sidelights, might get earthing kit, make up my own bolt kit for the engine bay, do some engine bay polishing, paint badges black or gunmetal, might put light window tint on, pop charger, liquid leather the interior, change all interior bulbs to LED, change xenons to 8000k bulbs, get rid of the red fog light lense, tint the side reflectors in the front bumper and thats about it B)

Piccys for all you visual folk...

  2. the stance of this zed is perfect imo...

I've only owned mine one day and already looking to do some serious mods.

Do you have spacers aswell as the coilovers and if so what size front/rear and whats the size spec of the alloys: ET, width etc...

    Thanks

  3. awesome Luke, I'm trying not to get as addicted to this forum as i was on the TT forum :scare:

I've ordered aero wipers, tax disc holder, LED no. plate and sidelights so far.

Got all my stuff ready to polish up the metal bits of the engine and I have some silicone hoses leftover from my TT in red so im going for the red/black/polished theme again, but this time with black bodywork :yahoo:

Looking forward to seeing the progress and seeing who gets hit the hardest with the modding bug with us buying quite close together lol

  4. Congrats, pick mine up tomorrow :yahoo:

Are you the same rik-e that was on the tt forum? :secret:

I am indeed mate. what zed did you opt for? you have a good memory, i sold my TT over a year ago and regreted it as soon as it drove off :byebye:

I bought a boring A4 for a bit but now feel the need for power again and I've already made some purchases last night: tax disc holder, aero wipers, chrome front indicator bulbs, LED sidelights, and some paint to do the badges black. Got my sanding stuff ready to polish up all the bits in the engine bay, looking for a good place for the earthing kits, doing a bit of research on induction kits/filters, booked into body shop next week to get all the paintwork/chips sorted and having the alloys refurbed at the same time. Also looking to replace the gear knob as that's the only thing that's a bit tired inside, then it will be A1.

One of my mates has been a mechanic at nissan for the last 7 years so he knows all about the zeds so any mechanical problems or mods that I cant do. I'll get him to sort for a few beer tokens :D

    Very excited about Weds night.

not sure wether to smooth off the front nissan badge or leave it??? what does everyone think?

  5. I would agree, slightly overpriced but then it all comes down to whether you think it is worth it.

Having a mate in the bodyshop means you will get it sorted for next to nothing (or did you mean the bodyshop as in bath salts and soaps, in which case you will smell nice in the car).

Anyway, welcome to the forum, look forward to seeing some pics

ha, no, car bodyshop. that's why it didnt put me off too much. He had it advertised for £9,995 so it was pretty steep to start with

mechanically it's sound from what I can see (fingers crossed)

  6. Hi Guys, I'm Rick.

Just thought i'd say my first Hi as a 350Z owner as of Weds when I collected it :D

The paintwork is a little bit tired and it has some little dents and chips and also scuffing to 3 alloys but i'll get all of it sorted pretty cheap from my friend in the bodyshop.

It also doesnt have drilled front discs which I thought they should have???

It's done 26,000 miles which is what attracted me to it and has 5 service stamps with it having a P2 service last week, 6 months tax and MOT due Jan next year.

I'll get better pics up soon :)

Looking forward to meeting you all at some of the meets, I'm in Ilkeston, Derbyshire.

Aero wipers, tax disc holder and LED no. plate bulbs added last night when I got back from collecting at about 11pm

Stubby aeriel and gear knob on order ;)

Still debating over the switch to the 350Z. My insurance renewal is due November and i'll have 2 yncb and be 21 (22 in Dec)

  8. that car you test drove sounds a right dog, definitely steer clear of that one mate!

for 14k you will get a very good example, prices have dropped alot recently. in terms of spec there is only two. gt or non gt. for resale definitely get the gt, this comes with leather, electric, heated seats, bose stereo, cruise control and most people spec the 18" rays although if your going to change the wheels you may not be too bothered on this option.

good luck with the Zed hunt!

    cheers for that.

i'd like bose as i've got that in the TT so know it sounds good. I also want to keep the leather so that's a definite.

Whats the fairlady model? i'm guessing its an import from just browsing the ads on ebay?
