  1. Hi, Im having a dispute at the moment with a recovery firm over the limitations of the space saver spare wheel. The handbook says that 'the spare tyre should be used only for very short periods. Temporary-use spare tyres should NEVER be used for long drives or extended periods.' It also says not to drive faster than 80km/h. Has anyone actually got any more information regarding how short a very short period is (for example 20 miles)?

    Cheers

  2. Someone decided to use the front of my car as a parking sensor this evening so I need a new number plate surround for my UK 350z as mine is cracked. Has anyone a spare one for a UK spec 55 plate?

  3. You can usually tell fairly quickly if someone is seriously interested in buying or just looking for a joyride. When I was selling my car I didnt let people test drive it if I didnt think they were likely to buy it. And then there was no way I wasnt going with them to make sure they bought it back.

If you did let someone take it for a test drive and didnt make sure that they were insured before you let them drive your car you would be in trouble with the Police and could be looking at points if they were pulled over on the test drive.

  4. Dont mean to hijack your thread......

.....but does anyone know where I can get a couple of clips for the boot seal? A couple of them seem to have fallen off anfd the boot isnt sealing properly

  5. Im based in Nottingham too. Last time for my P1 service I took the car to the Nissan dealership in Leicester because I'd read that Nottingham Nissan were poor. However, Leicester were not much better, few minor problems with them and then when I got the car home and checked the paperwork I saw that they hadnt bothered to stamp the service book. Makes you wonder what else they 'forgot' to do....

So has anyone found somewhere local to get their car serviced? Also how much is a P3 likely to set me back?

  6. I was trying to sell my GT, same age and similar mileage as yours. The crooks at 'webuyanycar' offered me 9700 online and then when I took it to their depot to sell the clown told me that it wasn't a GT 'cos they all have sat nav'. Advertised on pistonheads and autotrader at 9700 and got one viewing and one joker offering me 8k for it. Its a tough time to be selling a performance car right now. Happily though the house I was hoping to buy, hence selling the car to fund the deposit, has fallen through so Im sticking with the car for the Summer at least now.
