  1. Doesn't it sound just like the 350?
  2. These prices make me sad considering I got my 54 plate GT at the start of september for £14k and it had 38k miles - thought I'd done a good job getting 1.5k off what they put it up at Oh well you win some and you lose some!
  3. I think I need some of these for christmas as i believe Jacko took his custom mats with him and I was too excited about getting the car to tell the dealer to give me mats
  4. I have a 276 bhp model and using the same meter today (also thanks to a mate) I got a 0-60 of 5.97 secs. Chickened out before the 1/4 mile though as I'm a law abiding citizen
  5. Im exactly the same, I always check on the motorway whether there is a volvo behind me or not and adjust my speed accordingly
  6. I love the DC sports on mine - did you have a listen to it on the wales run where I think I met you. The only bad thing about the DC is that it sounds so good at high revs that it encourages you to drive in a spirted fashion
  7. Had this exact problem with my old mazda. It was a faulty rear wheel speed sensor (which does tcs and abs), easy fix for the garage, trouble is they replaced the wrong one first time and I had to tell them that I'd looked up the code and they had done the wrong side
  8. I can't imagine how the guy who did that thought it was anywhere near acceptable!! Perhaps its for an American version of Beadle's about?
  9. My thoughts exactly; imagine being so bored that you remeber the Reg of a car and getting straight on the net when you get home to log it in this site. I hate people using their phone while driving but not to the extent where I'd write down the plate and put it somewhere where the driver will never ever look. Edit: just searched 350z and the person who took a photo of the illegal number plate really needs to get a new hobby. Oh and the green ones are the funniest e.g.
  10. When mine was taxed in september (when i got it) it was only £185, which i didnt understand as it is a 54 plate and my 53 plate mazda which i had before produced less CO2 but was £210
  11. Nissan garage missed this on both my front wheels when they sold me the car, was spotted by an eagle-eyed chap on the Wales run. Fortunately I have a friend with axle stands and all he needed to fix it was a cup of coffee.
  12. Yeah it was a great day, not sure if im happy to have missed the ranting policeman or whether it would have made entertaining viewing. I thought it was a well behaved convoy! I did miss the last stop as I got confused but I think i'd have needed to head back around then anyway. Thanks to all those who made it happen
  13. I'm really looking forward to this, never done anything like it before. Thanks for the route document, looks good (apart from some apostrophes where they aren't needed - sorry I couldn't help it; I read that book about Pandas eating shoots and leaves or eating shooting and leaving). I bet shell are going to sell a lot of petrol on that day!!
  14. I loved it when it first appeared (despite what Clarkson said) but at the time I was too you to afford it so the Z spent a long time out of my mind. Then recently I started looking to change car and as you don't see many about I didn't think about one until a random flick through auto trader showed me that it was within budget. Popped to the Nissan garage, turned the key in the ignition and I was sold!!

  16. The people who are in charge of this sport are ruining it! A great race and they have to penalize a non-ferrari for something that didn't give him a huge advantage as he was always going to go past Kimi and then didn't even matter as Kimi crashed. Its just stupid; there was a race and it was settled on the track!!
  17. Sounds good, as long as there isn't some massive natural disaster located specifically to my car I will be there.
  18. Sounds good, I'm free on the day so I see no reason why I shouldn't come along. Is it ok to bring a mate in the passenger seat and are the exact time and meeting place TBA? I should imagine it will be quite a sight to see a convoy of Zeds
  19. Hey guys, I'm interested in coming along but as I'm new to the club could somebody take me through what goes on? Sorry for being such a newbie but I guess we all have to start somewhere.
  20. Jotun

    Still rare

Since I've got mine I've only seen one other that was on the road (a yellow GT4 on the M42) and I'm sure I've seen far more Audi R8s on the road this year than Zeds. It is nice how they are not too common makes it feel even more special having one I was looking at an RX-8 before I looked a the Z but you see bucket loads of those everytime you step out the house.
  21. Update - got the car yesterday and I am loving it!! Had some fun in it yesterday then drove up from Worcester to Nottingham today in a more relaxed manner - I even managed 32.5mpg (not that fuel economy was a reason for getting the car). One thing I did notice was how with the window open the wipers push a lot of water in through the window. The sports exhaust that is fitted sounds fantastic and im loving the big n/a engine compared to a 2litre turbo that im used to.
  22. Thanks for the welcome guys, I will get some pictures up when I can. Yeah I was wondering that, I think it was traded in at West Way Manchester. It seems like it was well looked after and I hope to continue like that.
  23. Hi guys, Just put a deposit on a blue 54 plate (38k miles) 350Z GT with the Rays alloys. It had non-standard exhaust and air filter already fitted too. Noticed that it had stickers for this forum on it (before Nissan valeted it) so thought I'd join. The car is currently in the paint shop to remove stone chips but otherwise it was in great condition, will be getting it on 1st september and looking forward to the world of 350z ownership!!
