Mine since Jan 2012, I’ve done around 28k since then. Car has been a daily driver for me and has only let me down once (leaky clutch slave cylinder)

Bought from Tony Gilham (yes, the ex BTCC racing driver) in Kent from his own garage

He bought it from a chap who worked offshore/overseas in Peterhead, where it had sat largely unused for a few years

Originally sold by Station Garage Mitsi in Aberdeen, I even have the original invoice for purchase and import docs (before it was FQ-ed by Ralliart/CCC)

3 previous owners +me

Car has only been on track for a couple of 20mins taster sessions.

Has had some paint on OS rear panel, door and bumpers after minor single car accident on 6/7/12, total cost £1500 via Insurance, professional repair (no panels needed) and not in any way written off.

Pics of damage on following link:

http://s1080.photobu...e?sort=3&page=1

Some surface rust on underside bolts, etc - could do with re-underseal soon.

Carbon on spoiler could do with refurb on edge and 1 side upright. Carbon exhaust heat shield could do with re-spray of lacquer.

Tiny tear on passenger’s seat cushion alcantara which could be easily repaired

Registration docs show as 8MR FQ-320, but this is typical of all FQs.

Gearknob is a little worn

£12000

PS: Car has never been written off, so no crazy offers at CAT-D prices please. :-)

It's an excellent ad, it really is. I suspect the price might be a little off putting, given the damage history, however personally that wouldn't bother me if I was in the market for something like this.

It looks to be a great and very honest car, and I love the yellow calipers. Really hope this sells soon, I think it deserves to.

Following a kind member of MLR (thanks mate!) pointing out to me that my car is currently listed as a CAT-D write-off - I have realised that it is (obviously I hadn't HPI checked my own car SINCE I bought it).

This is an administrative screw-up by my insurance comany at the time (who've also currently been insuring me since with it not listed as one).

I have contacted their complaints department and insisted they remove the 'flag' from the HPI database.

Below is a copy of the letter they sent me back in 2012 which confirms it was NOT written off. I'll reply again to this post once I have confirmation from them it is now HPI clear (as it always should have been).

Hopefully this hasn't put too many people off - car will be HPI clear before sale!

Insurance companies - it's not like we pay them!

I'm looking to get an Evo, chopping in the zed.

Exactly what I did. Loved my Z but just wasn't usable power out here in the countryside. Anything you want to know about my Evo, just ask mate. ðŸ‘

Ins Co have kindly removed the false and incorrect CAT-D flag from both HPI and Experian databases for me!

Car is now officially HPI clear. :smthumbup

Ran another HPI check myself just to make sure (below):
