Wasted the night the top plate works mint but I fooked up got one side cut tacked in but I don't like it but it's not too short to change. :(

What you think?

Think it would be better with the upright on the outside edge of the plate instead of the inside.

More room in the bay too. And thinking about it it's Gona be easier to brace up.

So pi**ed off with myself right now.

That's what you get for rushing tho. :(

Cut it all back out this morning realigned the top plates and started again.

Long day with a lot of head scratching cutting grinding welding came up with this.

Still needs boxing in on the inside edge and bit of bracing and it be ready to drop on the wheels. ;)

Few pics of my welds as I quite proud of them.

I agree looks better that way round

I have know idea what the alignment is with the body, the wheels or the anything else but it definitely looks right now :teeth:

Is that Mig or Tig - I assumed TiG but the welder in the pic looks like a Mig

Great work and still following with interest keep up the good work.

Keyser the alignment is the same all I moved was the hoop that holds it.

The main reason for moving was I now have something to mount the wing too. If I left it as it was I would of had to add another rail for the wing.

It also gives me lots more room in the bay for engine exhaust

I also think it looks better and be easier to box in. ;)

Tonight a mate came over to help me decide engine position.

Option 1 is over the X-Member. . .

Option 2 is behind the X-Member. . .

Yes mate but with that come's problems like the gearstick being behind me and the engine being where the peddles would normally be. Lol.

Started to boxin the strut hoops last night.

I don't have any tools for bending shaping so was hard times trial era cut shaping grinding banging bending. :(

Wanted to do it in one but just too hard to get it all right in one so had to cut it up into three I'm happy with how it looks tho. ;)

Cheers Bizz I spent a couple of evening browsing your build looks the nuts mate. ;)

Tried to fit the other inner sill tonight but the spot welder been playing up. :(

Turn out the new longer lead I got had brakes in it.

So spent the last two hours finding them fixing them and made it longer again. ;)

Nothing done in the car tho. :(
