New gearbox needed or synchro replaced?

I've never had any of the issues described in the last few posts. Not sure if that's wear related, or unsympathetic driving by previous owners, or maybe I just got lucky with a good one from the factory.

 

It's not a particularly quick box, but as long as you take that into account and don't try to hurry it, I have absolutely no complaints on mine. It's better than a good majority of the other cars I've owned, most of which were RWD and I'd consider to have quite nice gearboxes. FWD gearboxes are often vague in my experience due to the linkages involved.
