Had my wheels refurbed at Wheel Genie and am very pleased with the results.

Hopefully my wheel cleaning regime will be a lot easier from now on.

Proof you can fit two 19" alloys in the front seat :)

Here is the finish, dishes are shadow chrome and centres are sparkle silver, which is slightly brighter than the original factory finish.

While the dishes aren't as shiny polished as before, they still retain enough shine while being a bit tougher against the elements (read "I don't have to polish them every week")

So if anybody is looking for a refurb job, I can only recommend Wheel Genie

Finally got around to ditching the JapSpeed K2 and replacing it with a "proper" exhaust

So after keeping my eye on online tracking for the last two days, this finally arrived on my doorstep.

IMG_3219_zpsdab5c924.jpg

Opened box to check contents...

IMG_3223_zpsdb2e4a0d.jpg

Opted for the single layer burnt titanium tips

IMG_3222_zps2e900ce4.jpg

So after it arrived I was pretty knackered, since the last 48 hours had involved little sleep (12-hour nightshift, followed by a trip to Wheel Genie to pick up wheels, followed by another nightshift, followed by waiting another five and a half hours after shift end for DHL van to show up  ), but I thought, sod it, since it's here, lets go get it fitted :D

At the fiters we set about taking the JapSpeed off, which involved heating up some nuts and bolts and then this happened

9BE17FC4-B3C6-4B0F-9F59-150189492A79-81548-000008FF9BAA3F44_zps067554b2.jpg

Anyway, after it was off we set about fitting the Invidia, which was very straight forward since all parts are labelled (just remember that the labels are for a LHD car ;) )

And BOOM, it's on :yahoo:

I have to say, it's a beautiful exhaust, the welds are pure quality, the whole system just looks and feels "right"

Went out for a quick drive and noticed an odd smell and also saw some whitish smoke coming out the rear, but then I remembered I saw some white compound of sorts inside the piping, so took the Zed onto the dual carriageways to give it a little blow through ;)

All in all, I could not be happier with my Invidia, especially after having had two JapSpeeds before.

Big thanks go out to TarmacSportz for selling this to me and organising the very fast delivery (From Los Angeles to Ipswich in less than 48 hours :notworthy: )

I do like my new lens :D (Canon 50mm f/1.8 II)

Here are all the parts fitted

The dodgy compression arm bush

SuperPro replacement fitted (replaced the bushes in both arms of course)

Front ARB on

IMG_3460_zpsd4ebe59f.jpg

Rear ARB on too

IMG_3480_zpsb6b00d1c.jpg

Front and rear drop links fitted

IMG_3454_zpsdd904482.jpg

DBA Fronts in place

IMG_3458_zps65bf55e6.jpg

On my drive home from the garage I noticed how the handling had improved on the twisty bits, even more noticably on familiar roads, where I could feel the car holding corners at higher speeds with less roll.

All in all, I'm very pleased, even if my wallet isn't icon_smile.gif

Why the sudden build thread? Are you planning on selling your zed? You better not leave this forum or I'll hunt you down and do naughty things to you! Things most people could never imagine no matter how sick they are!

Reason is that ever since the forum rebuild, most of my old mod threads got lost, so i decided to make this thread to consolidate them all ;)

Great thread BM, some tasteful mods along the way.

The SPL bushes I did last year and the Eibach ARB's this hear. A noticeable combo that makes a big cornering difference.

So errrr what's next?

Oh most certainly noticable, much more confidence taking corners now.

As for what's next, I dunno, long term plans would be to replace all the OEM audio gear

I love that Varis front lip, I was thinking about the VS/Mines one but figured it may not be aggressive enough as i've fallen in love with the Chargespeed Bottom Line skirts since I seen them a few months back on on some US site, not cheap though. Where did you get the lip and skirts if you don't mind me asking?

Car looks great, exterior is almost the same as the vision I have for mine once I win a small fortune on the lottery.

Good good! You can rest assured that nothing will now happen to you at JapFEST today. :D

UPDATE JULY 2013

Took door card off to do a window reset to find this

DDC1B3AB-CAA6-445A-8E5B-090CFEB62ED0-202-000016AEA4CB028D_zps8d92c08d.jpg

Like really?!? Mould???

But I did find a sure and effective way if getting rid of it.

You do this

A38827A8-42D0-4BA1-A8A7-F46571FFDC29-202-000016AECF01A50C_zps71d7fa06.jpg

In disgust of the mouldy speaker I went to local car audio shop, got some coaxials and components and spent the rest of the day taking almost all of the interior plastics out and putting the replacements in.

Fast forward a month and...

Got myself one of these

56BE329F-DB60-4023-BE0A-E3D09C0EC169-26301-0000070957F1ADA3_zpsfe1f54e3.jpg

Along with the amp I had bought these

Audison 4-Gauge powercable kit

Audison RCA leads

Such a shame that such good looking cables are to be hidden away :(

Dusted off my old Bazooka Tube and started to wonder where to fit it.

Then I realised it was the same width as the Bose Sub mounting plate, so in it went

All that was left was to tidy up this mess

31FA9887-3371-441A-933C-759449ECA6AA-32027-000009EF2F05DAD5_zps4a7f29d5.jpg

And all done :D

0189EB92-6C4A-40B7-A9F2-1EB5451B6E46-27173-000007E743E222D1_zps6eb52b8d.jpg

And really really happy to report my old Bazooka Tube still kicks like back in the day, it reminded me how bad the Bose sub actually is.

I also like the little touches on the Alpine Amp, like connecting speaker wires to plug in connectors, just keeps everything nice and neat.

Threw a couple of tracks at it and it did put a smile on my face

Another addition, thanks to Tarmac organising a group buy for the ZSpeed Undertray.

Old plastic tray off

882A0388-68F3-479D-8343-8699C83579AF_zpsggwmqtcw.jpg

Had to spend time removing old and snapped bolts, had some studs welded in where snapped ends were too resistant, but all in all a straight forward fitting using original mounting points.

Front part on
