Staged Tuning packages for 350Z and 370Z

Staged upgrades for the 350 and 370Z

 

In association with Abbey Motorsport we are able to offer the same great deals on parts and packages for the 350 and 370Z’s.

When tuning is carried out the licence cost is also included.

 

350Z DE 276bhp

 

Stage 1

 

Supply and fit plenum spacer/velocity stack/HKS panel filter and ECU tuned on dyno

Cost £723.35 inc vat

Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears

Rev limiter and speed limiter raised.

 

Stage 2

 

Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe.

Cost £1571.93 inc vat

Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end.

 

Stage 3

 

Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats

Cost with Berks HFC is £2049.93 inc vat

Cost with Berks De-cats is £1871.93 inc vat

 

Running HFC or decats your be looking at nearly 300bhp flywheel bhp a gain over 20bhp from the stock car and a good gain mid range torque over stage 1 and 2. Using the Milltek system the exhaust noise is nice and not to aggressive but your get a small rasp around 4000RPM

 

Further tuning can be done but quote as per customers requirements.

 

 

 

 

350Z REV UP engines 300bhp

 

Stage 1

 

Supply and fit plenum spacer/HKS panel filter and ECU tuned on dyno

Cost £652.85 inc vat

Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears

Rev limiter and speed limiter raised.

 

Stage 2

 

Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe.

Cost £1501.43 inc vat

Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end.

 

Stage 3

 

Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats

Cost with Berks HFC is £1979.43 inc vat

Cost with Berks De-cats is £1801.43 inc vat

 

Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps.

 

These cars never seem to give the 300bhp quoted by Nissan though but after the upgrades they do pick torque up in the mid range.

 

We offer more work to the REV up to gain torque we fit a Motordyne lower collector this can be quoted separately.

 

 

 

 

350Z HR engines 313bhp

 

Stage 1

 

Supply and fit HKS panel filters and ECU tuned on dyno

Cost £407.54 inc vat

Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears

Rev limiter and speed limiter raised.

 

Stage 2

 

Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe.

Cost £1256.12 inc vat

Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end.

 

Stage 3

 

Same main mods as stage 1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats

Cost with Berks HFC is £1769.12 inc vat

Cost with Berks De-cats is £1591.12 inc vat

 

These car with the stage 3 conversion see nearly 290 hub bhp up from around 265/270bhp for a stock car , gain some fuel economy as well.

 

Further work can be carried out but we prefer to discuss this with the customer.

 

Cars with cruise will also get 5 throttle response maps loaded these are switched by the cruise switch. We can also add a unleaded map instead of 1 of the throttle response maps.

 

 

 

 

370Z VHR 323bhp

 

Stage 1

 

Supply and fit HKS panel filters and ECU tuned on dyno

Cost £407.54 inc vat

Gains of around 10/15bhp and the same in torque , throttle response enhanced in the lower 3 gears

Rev limiter and speed limiter raised.

 

Stage 2

 

Same as above + full Milltek system including Y pipe.

Cost £1486.29 inc vat

Sportier noise but not to noisy, gain in mid range torque from stage 1 and a few more bhp top end.

 

Stage 3

 

Same main mods as stage1 and 2 but with either Berks HFC or De-cats

Cost with Berks HFC is £1999.29 inc vat

Cost with Berks De-cats is £1821.29 inc vat

 

These car with the stage 3 conversion see nearly 310hub bhp up from around 290 hub bhp for a stock car with a big gain in mid-range torque , gain some fuel economy as well.

 

Further work can be carried out but we prefer to discuss this with the customer.

All bhp gain are estimate as all cars are different .

Being the complete newbie that I am, how would I know which engine my Zed falls under?

 

Also, does doing things like this affect Insurance premiums or is it not something that needs to be declared?

 

If your car has 2 intake pipes it's an HR, if it has one but has led rear lights and the hazard switch is in front of the gear stick its a DE rev up, otherwise it's a pre facelift DE :thumbs:

That depends if you want you insurance to be worth the paper it is written on or not.. ;)

 

A good specialist insurer would have no problem insuring any of the above (excellent looking) tuning packages.

cozzi - Yes it would be a bit better to run decats, but you have to consider MOT's ;)

 

Jollyranchers - Uprev dyno tune is £402 including licence. If you already have the licence and we are making changes as you have maybe changed a part and I/mark already has the map its just dyno time which is £80+vat per hour ;)

Had my 370 Upreved at TDI Warrington (Abbey M/sprts Northern Agent) Monday gone.

Absolutely astounded at the difference it has made. Its as if my zed has been cut free of the shackles which have been holding it back!

On the day my car was Re-mapped the air temp was hot (29 degrees) Even at this temp.....When Dyno'd in the most aggressive map pattern it returned a peak power to 362 (at flywheel)

Can anyone (or PAUL @ TDI) hazzard a guess at how much more i'll be able to add to this figure once i'm running in cool crisp air?

I think I am spending the next 12 - 18 months saving for the stage 3 conversion. So once I'm out of warranty I can get the beast in, tested and set free :p. Couple of questions though, there was mention of a rasp over 4,000 rpm on the 350z, has the 370z suffered any similar drones/rasps over certain rpm or on motorway journeys? The one thing i'm worried about changing the exhaust is getting the right sound and it not becoming unbearable on a long motorway journey (not that i do loads of them haha)

 

Also out of interest, once the stage 3 has been done (or at the same time as they are being done) what other modifications can be made to up the bhp without having to go as far as putting something like a s/c on? Ideally it would be nice to get the car up over 365 upto well as far as possible really 375/380/385 etc whatever is possible. Although I'm assuming at the moment trying to get to that level without a s/c or turbo would be like tryna get blood out of a stone.

 

Oh yea and can we pick and choose what the 5 settings are on the Uprev maps? Personally I would be looking at a totally stock setting (for MOTs etc), eco setting for round town, eco motorway setting, and then two levels of aggression - mid & balls to the floor or whatever you may suggest.

 

Also, i've been going on about this in other posts either here or on the 370z forum :p but would there be a way to emulate or at least get something similar (i know they have very close gear ratio's and an 8 speed box and years of development in exhaust note tuning :p) to the F - Type V6's tone and pops n crackles?! Would be awesome to see if that was possible, tune that into one of the remaps or some sort of exhaust tune. At the end of the day if i'm going to spend the forseeable future building up a little cash pot to spend on the car, once i blow it i might as well blow it on something i want and maybe had a hand in sculpting :p

Sorry not replied earlier. Have been mad busy with work what with race duties and all but back full time now.

 

There isn't a lot more you would want to be doing and its just a combination of what intake or exhaust system will suit your personal choice. The manifolds already really good and would be the choice to fit on the 350 but replacing the manifolds isn't a particularly quick and cheap job.

 

The different maps are just slight changes in throttle response but basically exactly the same fuel/ignition and cam timing. We can customise each map but there would be costs involved. Typically we may stick a valet map on one that only allows tehcar to rev to 2000rpm or maybe not even start, a map for lower octain fuel if you cant get 97 or above, a race map for race fuel with different ignition settings (you wouldn't use this on regular pump fuel as it will cause damage and is purely for those wishing to drag their cars) and maybe something with a different launch control setup.

 

Affecting the over-run we haven't really got access to but am sure with some "manipulating" of the over-run fuelling we could probably get a lot more bangs and pops.... but it wont do your cats any good. ;)

Guys my zed is a 53 plate uk spec 50k miles

Has the GT package etc. The hazard switch is near the ashtray slot, unsure of the leds in rear and only have 1 intake. Any clues as to what engine mine is and if its a decent one lol
