So i drove my car to mot centre 2day after fitting a pop charger filter, on the way back i lost all power and all the dash lights came on, ive cleared the fault code but its come back?

Is it something to do with my fitting an aftermarket filter?

Thanks

Thanks

So i..

Operation Procedures

1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.

2. Turn ignition switch is ?ON?.

3. Turn ignition switch is ?OFF? wait at least 10 seconds.

Make sure that the throttle valve moves during above 10 seconds by confirming the operating sound.

So basically turn on and off ignition and wait 10 secs?

Done the above and its gone back into limp mode with all the lights on!

This was after 10miles?

Any ideas??

may be worth doing the other parts of the reset and may be a ecu reset

Accelerator Pedal Release Position Learning

Operation Procedure

1. Make sure that the accelerator pedal is fully released.

2. Turn ignition switch ?ON? and wait at least 2 seconds.

3. Turn ignition switch ?OFF? wait at least 10 seconds.

4. Turn ignition switch ?ON? and wait at least 2 seconds.

5. Turn ignition switch ?OFF? wait at least 10 seconds.

Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning

Operation Procedures

1. Make sure that accelerator pedal is fully released.

2. Turn ignition switch is ?ON?.

3. Turn ignition switch is ?OFF? wait at least 10 seconds.

Idle Air Volume Learning (Throttle Position Learning)

It is better to count the time accurately with a clock.

Operation Procedures

1. Perform ?Accelerator Pedal Released Position Learning?.

2. Perform ?Throttle Valve Closed Position Learning?.

3. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

4. Turn ignition switch ?OFF? and wait at least 10 seconds.

5. Conform that accelerator pedal is fully released, turn ignition switch ?ON? and wait 3 seconds.

6. Repeat the following (steps 7a, 7b) procedures quickly five times within 5 seconds.

7a. Fully depress the accelerator pedal (HARD)

7b. Fully release the accelerator pedal.

8. Wait 7 seconds, fully depress the accelerator pedal and keep it for approx. 20 seconds until the Check Engine Light (CEL) stops blinking and turned ON.

9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the CEL is ON.

10. Start engine and let it idle.

11. Wait 20 seconds.

12. Rev up the engine two or three times and make sure the idle speed and ignition timing are within the specifications.

First thing - your probably kacking yourself and the pedal dances are notoriously hard so keep having a go and be patient....tea and lots of it is probably your most valuable tool!

also have a little but more of a searchy as there are a few others who have done it and the threads might turn up a few useful tips.

Might help, I've just fitted a pop charger and I did clean the throttle body before fitting it. The throttle body seems to do an auto check every time you turn the ignition on if you give it time, turn the ignition on to position 1 (I.e theres power but don't crank the engine over) you should hear the butterfly open and close. Wait till it stops and turn the ignition to off, then start as normal.

Worked for me any how

I just took the inlet pipe of TB and got the misses to turn ignition on and off and the butterfly does move.

But it is still throwing the cel light?

Anyone got any ideas please, otherwise i wont be going to japfest at this rate! :(

There's only so many things you could do wrong with fitting one of these, check:

Intake pipe on and tightened (no leaks)

Breather pipe connected under intake pipe

Maf sensor connected properly and connecting wires not damaged

Maf sensor clean

I can't think of anything else

I think because i skipped bits, and didnt do it in the order above it has upset the ecu?

Just took car out again and no cel light, so fingers crossed!

Ok ive reverted back to std air box and filter, all has been fine for a few days and had no engine light on.

So today i fitted my new k@n panel filter, and had a spirited drive home, great i thought! :)

Later on 2nite i popped to the next town for a spin, it was now wet out so didnt go to crazy, pulled up at tescos and eml comes on??

Cleared fault code with code reader and reset TB and pedal for the drive home.

So i get about a mile then the light comes on again! cleared/reset pulled away and comes on again! it does this 5 times before i could actually drive home!

I seriously need some advice please its doing my head in!

What can cause P2135 fault code other than the actaul TB?

If it is not something silly, and you have done the resets, and it is not something that has previously been suggested then I think that you may have a faulty throttle position sensor which is integral to the TB.

I would suggest that you get the resets done on Consult 3 from a friendly Nissan or indy garage and get them to check out the TB.

If it is the TPS in the TB then I have plenty preowned in stock if required.

Alex. :)

Would they be able to def say if it is the TPS then? Ive double checked everything again and again, seems strange its done it again after changing the filter? It was fine for 3 days with std filter in?
