jenic Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 Mine seems to roll back slightly after applying it. For example, if i'm on a hill, out of gear, footbrake on. DannyBoy Posted September 1, 2011 Share Posted September 1, 2011 Mine was next to useless when I got the car, I could pull the handle up as far as it would go and it still wouldn't hold on any kind of hill. I adjusted it when i had the centre console out of the car, it's really simple to do and the handbrake is now about what you'd expect, it'll hold on pretty much anything if you pull it hard enough, i'd definitely recommend taking the time to do it. bronzee Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 Is this normal? Put it this way, I've driven 19 350's, plus my own and they all seemed to have weak handbrakes out of the box. Chris`I Posted September 2, 2011 Share Posted September 2, 2011 Proper adjustment at service is key. It should be checked and adjusted at a service and if done so the handbrake is fine. However this is too much effort for most dealers to be bothered to do If you do it yourself make sure you follow the proceedure in the service manual.
