People's reactions to the zed.

Maybe you should all respray your in Azure :teeth:

I get nothing but good comments! My indy mechanics called it beautiful and said it was an awesome car (and one of them owns a 911..), the bodyshop guys that resprayed it said it was the most beautiful car and colour combo they've ever done (and they had Rod Stewart's old AC Cobra in there).

My friend told me it was probably the best looking car you could buy for the money, all the girls I know (win!) think it's amazing and pretty, and a lot of people like to have a gaze as you are parking up or rolling past. Had a good few 'nice car mate' comments in petrol stations too.

I think on the whole, most people think it's a much better car than it is. Because it's a competitor to the Cayman/Z4 etc, they hold it in the same esteem as those cars. Nissan made ENOUGH of an effort with the interior for it to be considered a 'nice' car as opposed to the cheap lump of Japanese plastic which it really is, haha.

What's funny is random male reactions on the street, a girl I know described it perfectly. She mentioned how all the men on the side of the road (builders/roadworkers/peds) all turned their heads when they heard it or got a glance, but they always looked away slightly and tried to pretend they werent looking because men hate to show other men that they are jealous of what they have

It's a shame you've had negative and horrible reactions to you driving the Zed Rabbit, usually I only get anger on the roads when I shout at someone for cutting me up and them being the t*** that they are usually argue back even if they were in the wrong. I've learnt to keep my cool on the roads now, one incident with a massive black guy with huge neck rolls stopping and getting out of his Audi was enough to scare me out of road rage in the future!! (To be fair to him it WAS my fault that time  )

The only negative comment iv had was from a group of Charvers heckling me whilst i was taking photos of the zed after some intense detailing. One of them said "Its not a Ferrari mate". I thanked him for his intelligent input and continued taking my photos. I don't let it bother me, these people are just jealous! Iv loved the 350z ever since i first saw one in the flesh, anybody who insists on making sh**ty comments can go swivel!

I only got admiring comments when I had mine, lost count of the amount of times I would have the window down or walking to or away from the car and got a comment of how good the car was from someone.

Was very strange as that's something I would never consider doing in a million years, not even if it was a lambo or something.

Got out the XKR yesterday at McDonalds to jump in for something to eat and guy walking to his car next to me said 'cracking car' to me as walking past. Puts a little spring in your step though :D

Yes, they are rare and special looking cars.

Having worked for some Specialist Manufacturers over the years, the Zed is one of the very few cars someone will be brave enough to have their picture taken in showroom car !!

Those who know, know. Those that don’t, can only mock. A sad sociological comment really

No word of a lie. Every time I take mine out I get a comment or gesture.

From kids to OAP's, honestly never had anything negative.

People have stopped outside my house and taken photo's, a little weird at first but I'm getting use to it.

Had some very nice chats.

Driving to work today 2 blokes and a little girl all stopped and gave a thumbs up?

I work in Cambridge and there are loads of Japanese students here. The other day I actually had a whole coach load of them pointing and taking photos of me driving past in my car. Sometimes you see a small group of them chatting and one will notice my car and point, then the rest turn around to look at it! :teeth:

We often get that over here. A big bus load of Japanese tourists will pull up near where we are having a Z meet, and promptly take oodles of pics of the Z's. They love the old Z's too, especially given most of ours in really lovely condition. Quite funny given where the cars came from.

Generally good response towards the Bronzed One. Always, right from new had people approach the Z at the gas station or if I've stopped to take a few quick pics of the Z and they offer to buy it for more than current market rate, still happens now. Often get thumbs up from other drivers, had lots of "oh that's a shiny car comments".

Seen that too when we visit touristy places like certain parts of the Lakes, Wales or Scotland. They love em. Shame we dont have any good British cars to do the same to

I was in Newquay on holiday with my GF, retired for the night at a B&B and the next morning we found a bra laid out across the boot lid (white, 38D, nice detail on the upper part of the cups).

Best form of flattery yet for the Zed

Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

:EDIT: Hang on.... thats the same size as my missus... ! wonder what she was doing in Newquay?!

My old ma lives about 20 yards along from the village school, and whenever I drive past it on the way to her house, all the kids are up on the railings waving and shouting! Primary school kids, but better praise than none I guess.

There are practically no zeds at all up my way, 370 or 350, and the only other 370 I've ever seen was the G-man's, and that was before I bought mine!

A rare breed indeed!

I've owned for almost a year and have no negative comments other than the standard "Why have you bought a Datsun" Mostly from friends but its all light hearted.

Get loads of thumbs ups from young lads (that sounds a bit wrong) some nearly snapping there necks to look back if you dab the throttle!

My mate drives an Audi TT, the other day he stopped at the shop and got harrassed by some young chav chick .. "nice car .....dad" etc, I'd have slapped he!

I would definatley react to some of the negatives you guys have had ....i'm not very tollerant of idiots !

In its old form (standard with nice wheels) it used to get a comment every other day, and I remember when I drove it to Le Mans the Frenchies went mental for it, got a lot of attention that week.

Since its been wide arch with stupid wheels people actually take pictures when I stop, stare in traffic and fall off kerbs looking at it. Ive had three strangers shake my hand as they feel its lovely but an achievable car for them, thats nice to hear :D

Being honest, I dont get the hysteria, certainly not over standard cars - they arent that rare round these parts, and at the end of the day can be picked up for £6K these days, hardly a Maserati Gransport or a GT2RS .........

Isn't that the thing with the Z though, it looks far more expensive and exotic than it is. I've had a few "how can you afford that" or "check you in your flash motor" When i point out i probably paid less for it than their Focus/Fiesta etc they cant beleive it.

I think the rarity thing does have a lot with people staring at it. Ive only seen 1 other 350z roadster in the 6 months ive had this one, and I can count on 1 hand the number of coupe`s ive seen. Compare that to Z4`s and Porsche Boxsters, I see literally dozens of them a day.

I was cutting the grass on Monday, when 3 pals from my school days walked by my house. Unfortunatly all 3 are now total smack heads!

Anyway one of them said " thats some motor you've big man", my reply was "cheers mate".

The other guy said "thats what you get with hard work" and the last one said "aye no like us junkie's bast**rds walking about here trying to scrap enough together to buy a bottle of white lightning (cheap cider).

Made the wife smile.. she was only a youngster bless her

These stories are great, really making me smile.

The best one for me is pulling into a beer garden car park when its full and the suns out, people cant stop staring at it! Even get a few wolf whistles if theres a group of ladies as I'm getting out the zed!:thumbs:;)

Had a few occasions of people stopping there cars and getting out to talk to me while Im cleaning it!

All good fun.

Had no Zed haters aka jealous c*nts yet thankfully

Sadly still without a Z at the moment, but I remember when I owned an early S1 Elise back in the day. On my test drive, got the thumbs up from a chap in a DB7 Volante at a set of traffic lights !! Must have been the easiest sale the dealer ever got as I couldnt wait to get back to the garage & sign on the dotted line.

Ran it for 5 months whilst I lived in Harrogate & commuted to Leeds & nothing but thumbs up (I think) & pleasant comments.

Then decided to move to Bradford - received nothing but insults & various comments about attending my parents wedding & being a purveyor of one of lifes more solitary pleasures. Sadly had to sell the car shortly after due to a house purchase & though I missed the car, definately didnt miss the insults. Just boils down to jealousy.

Harrogate/Leeds : populated by people who appreciate the finer things in life (particularly when worked for).

Bradford : full of inbreds who are so twisted by there own abject failure in life that they cannot stand to see success in anyone else, even when such success means that I had to pay 33% of my wage to keep these scumbags in the (benefits) lifestyle they had become so accustomed to. The alternative was to invest my funds in an Evo or Impreza & "blend" in, but as I dont deal drugs I didnt really want to go down that route.

I've not really had any negative comments, well none that I'm aware of. I've had the Japanese tourist thing, stood in front of the car having their photo taken or taking photographs of it. I quite often see people having a 'nose' at it when I've parked it up or as I'm walking to it. That's always nice as there are often a lot of Porches, Astons, Maserati's etc where I park. It might be because I have Zed badges on the car rather than the Nissan ones, perhaps they're not sure what it is? I still get people going past me on the motorway and staring at the car, which amuses the better half no end

I was in the underground car park at a local supermarket a few months ago sticking some shopping in the back of the car. Youngish chap with a couple of friends were walking past me to his little astra. "I love your car mate.....I see around town quite a bit, I really like it....now here it is parked next my crappy little car.....I'd love a car like that". To be honest I didn't quite know how to respond, I think I just said thanks and we've all got to start driving something and that I was sure he'd get one if he put his mind to it and saved up. Part of me wanted to say "Mate, let's drop this shopping crap and let's go for a blast!"

I think the best comment the Zed's got is one I didn't even hear. I was waiting outside a shop for my girlfriend and there were two young lads, about 8 or 9 hanging around on their bikes. Better half gets in to the car and asks if "...I heard that?" and I respond with a no. As she was getting into the car one of the lads said "When I grow up and have a family I'm going to have a sensible car to take the my wife and children in and them I'm going to have a flash car like that to show off to my mates...":lol::lol:
