I'd just take a drive one day locally with a clean Zed and a camera with tripod if you have one. What about Whitby? That close to you as there are some great spots around there for some pictures. If you are taking pictures at night and have a camera capable of long exposure that will help you take some fantastic night pictures. If you do that you need to be near somewhere that's busy with lights & traffic. Example below of a long exposure night shot....
