Great choice Ian; love these wheels. I presume some members have seen them on a zed before? If not search for 'The Driven lifestyle 370z' and prepare to fall weak at the knees!! :cloud9:

I would post an image but feel it would be rude to hijack the thread.

Wow, yes, great photo shoot and loving the bronze. I'm in keeping with my current trend of anthracite/grey. This is because if there's funds permitting the car will change colour and so the wheels may end up being something radical in colour also.

They are nice whatever colour though in my eyes.

Herewith the finished product. Hats off to the guys at The Brake Caliper Specialists. They've gone beyond their standard paint database to provide the Candy Apple Red. Custom stencils - artwork done by "Cal" - so thanks matey for those.

They're heading down to me for Wednesday and the plan is to have them fitted Friday.

Enjoy..... comments welcome.

I'm sure pictures don't do them justice, especially with this sort of paint finish.

These look amazing mate, and happy to help with the vector artwork...

I need to see these and the new wheels on really :p

That was a tad random you crazy fool.

You could always read it whilst we are swapping....... Almost like a read at home guide.

To be fair these pop up on ebay a fair amount. I've got LS keywords held in ebay for any deals or bargains and these books pop up on a regular basis.

The Sikky kit provided some of the information. The rest Bob and Chris I think could be done standing on their heads.

Yeah, I guess Chris & Bob are pretty much a walking encyclopaedia :D

I was just randomly thinking about possible car projects, stumbled across this book, and thought it might come in handy for anything in the future I mght attempt.

Okay this could be interesting.

I've already lined up next project for this engine before this one is started and almost dropped the 350z LS swap for project number two. Although I need to save for the kit first which will take a couple of years. So as the donor chasis is already in my posesion and I'd really like to finish this, thought best to complete the 350z and then move on.

Cheers Daryl, a shame I didn't get time to fit them before the swap. So these will now go on at the later stages of the swap.

Nah will keep the LS for a totally different chasis after the Zed.

Okay ladies and gents, the amazing conversion from Suzi to Suzanne is soon to commence. On Saturday (17th January 2015) Suzi will be losing her heart :( but will be gaining a pumped up, high octane heart to continue her future life. Suzi said that she wasn't too bothered that she was going to become "10 years younger" and blushed at the thought of additional horses.

Don't believe for one minute this is going to be a weekend job, but as the proceedings commence this weekend her heart of 114k miles will be removed, and replaced with the LS3 V8 6.2 litre engine from a 2010 Corvette from America.

This project assisted by Bizz and delivered by Bob and Chris will create hopefully a really enjoyable car. Not just for power, but for the sound as well.

Whilst the VQ will be removed and partially replaced by the LS3 over the weekend, the work will have only just commenced. The additional fabrication and electrical wizardry to make her run will take many weeks. A company local to the Zed Shed will be looking after the electronics, custom headers and exhaust, ECU connectivity and installation of other required electronics, such as the Race Dash.

Suzanne I hope will be ready some time in April, where she will be fitted with new brakes, new wheels, and blessed with a fresh heart. The work doesn't stop there. I have plans for the interior, such as seats. A totally custom rear bumper and then the power increase once I'm convinced that 450bhp (depending on dyno report) and 424 Ib-ft of torque is boring  If that be the case, some trick CAMS for starters to bring the level up to 500+ but then if I'm still feeling like a child and want to eat all the cake, then all that's needed is a SC to be slapped on for stupid power.

Anyway, I've just received notification the all important parts will be delivered to me tomorrow ready for the drive down to Dorset.

Excited........nah.......fecking over the moon!!

Let the story commence!!

(Oh and if anyone wants to head down to the Zed Shed over the weekend, you're more than welcome to watch and banter the day(s) away)
