The issue, of course, is that you're then left with something on the paint which is going to interfere - sometimes dramatically, in the case of coatings - with your LSP.

 

I wholeheartedly agree with using the right cloths (always clean and damp) for the job, and his tips on that are absolutely spot on, but for removing polish you don't really want to be adding another product before your LSP, so you're always better off using a panel wipe/IPA to remove polish.

Although, to be quite honest, if you're having difficulty removing polish that you need apply any pressure, either you're using crap product or (more likely) you're using way too much of it.
