On a lighter note, At least we're not like Brazil, Scaring the kids with a vaccination mascot that's a cross between Mike Myers and a KKK member!

I just want to say that in my professional medical opinion, I totally agree that covid isn't real. FYI My credentials are that I used to play operation as a kid and always won 🥇 Mic drop 🎤

I like this analogy, it works quite well.  The medical profession, the scientists, the people actually studying this virus are flying along in an AWAC aircraft at 35,000ft, they can see all of "the

Hahaha well, Its an in-depth investigation into where this virus originated from, how it was covered up and how the knowledge of its initial existence was witheld thus possibly enabling the halting of the pandemic.

All backed up by top scientists, eminent politicians and high ranking MI6 and FBI employees and Chinese defectors...In a nutshell! Worth an hour id say.

Obvious from the very get go it was a lab leak, there was zero evidence of this coming from the wild with early animal to human transfer whereby the virus was learning how to do this with early variants. The first variant knew how to do human to human transmission right out the box, this isn't normal for a new virus.

Plus the evidence showed SARS Cov 2 didn't transmit well if at all outside, where are all wild animals...... outside hhmmmmm

COVID will go away soon anyway. They've taken away our petrol to give us something new to worry about.

Yeah, walking out and about almost feels like a soft lockdown as folks are less likely to make unnecessary journeys. Knock on of course is awful for medical and teaching staff who can't get to work due to lack of fuel or missed hospital appointments again for the same reason.

Why do so many still buy into the narrative?

Without watching the video you posted but googling who made it, probably because "the narrative" is supported by nearly every doctor, epidemiologist and virologist in the world.
Not to mention that 5 odd million people have died of *something*.

Pffft, we’ve had enough of ‘experts’, remember? ;)

Whats your interpretation of soon? another 5 or 10 years?

It never really existed in the first place....

Like the moon. And the Mars landings. Or something.

If your minds made up don't watch it.......

Do you factcheck your doctor when you visit him as well?

Anyway, if youre going to knock about telling people the "narrative" and you know more than all of these incredibly highly qualified and experienced scientists this should be a breeze:

Another interesting watch......

A person fairly well versed in understanding data, but wait let me guess...... he's got it all wrong 🤪

Professor Norman Fenton is a British mathematician who is currently Professor of Risk Information Management at Queen Mary University of London and is also a director of Agena, a company that specialises in risk management for critical systems.

A first class Bachelor of Science degree and also winning the ‘School Scholar’ prize in 1976 and 1977.

He gained his Master of Science at the University of Sheffield (1978) winning the "ATM Flett Prize", and Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Sheffield (1981) under the supervision of Peter Vamos.

Faculty of Science and Engineering Research Award (Queen Mary University of London) 2015

Hes a mathematician. Chris Whitty, Anthony Fauci, even Angel Merkel are all specialists in what we are actually talking about with direct access to all of the data and information.
Youre not only focusing on what a tiny minority have to say, the minority arent even experts in this field.

FWIW hour long videos arent going to win any arguments either, I guess antivaxxers and Covid deniers dont have much of a social life as the rest of us dont have time to watch them.

Given Norman Fenton's background, what disadvantage would he have in understanding the data in terms of risk compared to Chris Whitty?

Why are you listening to a mathematician rather than a virologist?

Could it just be that there arent *any* virologists that share your beliefs? Maybe because they are wrong?

Having looked into what Fenton was saying in this incredibly long video I cant say with any certainty that hes incorrect, but I have found that he accepts that ~130,000 more people than we would normally expect have died over this period.

So seeing as youre the expert and the rest of us are just "following a narrative", what did they die of then @davey_83 ?

I will just pull you back to my previous question and give you the opportunity to answer.

I did: "Having looked into what Fenton was saying in this incredibly long video I cant say with any certainty that hes incorrect"

Hes definitely well qualified to discuss data and risk ......... but Im not entirely sure how thats relevant to "Why are so many people buying into the narrative?", you know, the actual comment you made that I think is bollocks, hes just making a case that the reporting may be inaccurate, not that Covid isnt actually A Bad Thing.

Now do you want to answer my question? What have the 130K extra people died of if its not Covid?

Thank you for the explaining your answer as I didn't ask your understanding of the terrain Vs Fenton (that wouldn't make sense) but against Whitty. We'll agree that from your words you can see no fault in his understanding of the data.

Therefore it is a narrative if the measures don't align with the risks, or possibly incompetence.

He's absolutely bang on, if you're not reporting on something accurately, you can't know if a thing is a bad thing broadly speaking. However even of the data that has been collected an individual can only interpret this and come to their own conclusion.

I'll need to specify the question.

What country/countries is this data set from and where can I find the claim? What's the split of individuals that died from covid and with covid? I ask as we've all seen prem football players play 90mins zero health concerns and then have to isolate as they've been tested positive for coronavirus disease.

Also It's reported that cancer alone sadly kills 166,000 people per year in the UK, so its not a stretch to think of the implications following delayed GP visits resulting in delayed diagnosis/treatment not to mention Alzheimer, dementia.
