OpenTop
Hi, I am French and have owned a 350z VQ35HR for 4 years, I love this car! I made few changes to it, 370Z brake, rear wiper removal, 370z turn signal repeaters and full paintwork of the car. (I really like OEM +) I am building a CarPlay system instead of the GPS that works with the original car stereo. Like a lot of people, I have the problem with the trunk that doesn't open well, so I made these springs. They are successful in France and I wanted to make them known in the UK. They are made for 350Z and are easily assembled in less than 5 minutes. Here is my website: www.opentop.fr I am in the process of developing the version for 370Z. 2
MDMetal
Amazing! These are basically stronger more powerful versions of the OEM ones? I'd buy some 100% even before buying a big heavy spoiler I had updated struts and new OEM versions of this and the boot refused to open so this would be great. How much would they be? (Sorry I looked at the website!) Looks like a decent price. Do you know how much more powerful they are than OEM? OpenTop
Hi, I didn't measure the power of the EOM springs but I know the springs I make work with a big spoiler on the trunk =)

Stutopia
Welcome along, car looks great, the CarPlay upgrade for the Sat Nav is a really nice idea.
Jack94
Good to see you on on the forum. I ordered a set last week, will post my findings on here once they arrive
Jack94
My springs have arrived now and I fitted them last night (5 min job). I went with the complete ones and first impressions are that they're well made, look professional and are bloody strong! My tailgate now clears the latch with one press of the button eventhough it's got a Nismo V1 spoiler on, and it still closes just as easy. All in all a simple but effective product that allows you to open the tailgate one-handed 3
Stock
This sounds fantastic, you should talk to some of the UK traders to see if they want to put orders in to resell in the UK.
stevezzz
2 x hard rubber tap washers each side about the thickness of a pound coin each side worked for me and has done for about 18 months Edited September 23, 2020 by stevezzz detail

Jack94
Yeah I tried new OEM springs with rubber washers in the past but it didn't work sadly, which I'm guessing might be because of the weight of the spoiler.
MDMetal
Fitted mine last night absolutely perfect, boot springs up and I can then lift the tailgate one handed, previously it was a two handed job to press the latch and lift the boot at the same time. Very happy! For reference this is the spoiler I have.. 3
OpenTop
I'm glad you like it. I currently go through a reseller in Germany but I need to increase my production capacity to be able to send to more countries ;-)
