Rolled tip Scorpion exhaust?

I'm considering one of these as they appear to be almost identical to the OEM tips.

Invidia and Cobra tips look alot shorter than OEM despite being available with rolled tips.

But all I have seen are the standalone exhausts.

Would appreciate if any members have one, of they could post up pics.

Maybe if you can find a decent used branded one on ebay (if you were to go down that route), then take it & your Z to an exhaust place for them to fit, plus you'll get the choice of many tips, so you'll be able to get as close to OEM as possible:thumbs:.

My local Longlife exhaust centre can supply Scorpion.

I'll head down and see what they think to the condition of my old one.

If they think it's got alot of life left I may get the flange and flexis repaired.

If not I'm ordering the Scorpion.

Any drone at motorway speeds like the Cobras Andre D?

Got this finally fitted today by my local Scorpion dealer Topgear Motorsport in Stockport.

Great friendly guys.

45 mins and the job was done.

At first I was a little worried the tailpipes weren't as mirror finished as my old OEM one, but got home.....a little metal polish and it was OEM shiny:teeth:.

The tailpipes are about 1cm wider than OEM making it a little easier to clean inside the pipes.

Sit about 1/2cm closer to the bumper but still leaving clearance to get a cleaning/polishing cloth over the top between bumper and pipe.

Follow the same profile as OEM when viewed from the side and above.

All in all perfect firmer and finish from Scorpion with a lifetime warranty to boot.

No drone when cruising home at 40, 50, 60 or 70.

In fact barely noticeable when just steady cruising making it easy to enjoy some tunes.

Tickle the throttle a bit to accelerate and there's a bit more rumble than stock which is nice.

However mine was leaking at the backbox flange for months so I may have a distorted memory of stock.

Why it took Scorpion so long to offer rolled tips I'll never know as not everyone is a fan of the slash cut ones originally offered.

Some pics at last.....

Looks great, definitely agree rolled tips are sooooo much nicer.

This has got to be one of the cleanest zeds in the country!

I'm flattered, but I think THIS is one of the cleanest Zeds in the country......

Then there's members like ilogical and davey_83 who are in a next level of clean if you enjoy reading of detailing exploits.

Many more that I haven't mentioned (not meaning to leave anyone out) that I can't remember off the top of my head

The wait it over, few - any pics of the install and/or that new sexy y pipe?

Suits the car very well

Wouldn't allow me inside the garage I'm afraid...... strict Covid-19 protocol:(

For all I know they just welded some tips on and took £740 off me for the pleasure:lol:
