Yes, massive opportunity to sell parts to the four people who would actually buy an imported £50k+ ZP.

;)

it will be way more than 4 plus others coming from other brands price dependent. If youre already in that line of business you're basically ordering q60 parts. There are a few of them in the country too.

Anyway I still believe itll come to the UK in small numbers as a guy at Nissan has been told. Obviously we have to wait and see.

GTR ends in 2022 leaving HPCs with not much to sell. I guess they (performance sales) can all go back to selling jukes, ariyas and qashqais.

Ohh ohh where did that come from? See told you there would be a design already floating about! If they do the powered roof where you can drive say up to 30mph and not be sat with foot on the brake whilst its peeing down on you I will be happy! Damn I miss my 350 ragtop.

How many Q60 owners modify their cars though?

I mean, there’s only 3 of them in the country anyway which is why Infiniti pulled out of the UK in the first place.

I was one of them! haha! I loved my coupe (think its still alive on here somewhere?) but Infiniti made so many mistakes!

Shame they had the potential to eat into the Lexus/BMW brigade here.

Only sold my coupe because my daughter outgrew the back , with its raked window, very well made car better than the Nissan equivalent although made on the same production line as the 370 I think?

  • Infiniti never advertised and when they did it was too little too late.
  • They were all petrol engines which this country generally didn't like.
  • They didn't get into the company fleet car market until the end.
  • When they finally put in diesel engines (think they were merc ones?) VW came along and spoilt that for everyone.
  • Because they were geared up for the American market lets say some of the cars looked very 1990's blobby to say the least.

On the plus side you got treated really well at the dealers on a par with Lexus. The cars had plenty of tech and no cassette players like in Nissan!! I had a q50 hybrid top of the range to use for the day and did it fly!! Not the best looking car but full of kit made the Star ship Enterprise look like a washing machine.

Anyway I digress shame to see them go but they shot themselves in their own feet eejiots!

So are we getting a petition together then - Nissan don't abandon your UK zedders :D

those models, eventually they will be. Thats guaranteed. I just dont expect anything performance and Electric till later down the line as in 2025 onwards. The compromise is petrol hybrid which already 10 year old technology. Nismo may try that for the Z and GTR. If done right you wouldn't notice its got any Electric aspect. Youd get more power all round. At the low end specifically. Also more economy and lower emissions.

They dont but they service them dont they. Not everyone would be using the stealers

Also aside from a petition @stanski enquiring at your local hpc dealers can also help get the conversations going in meetings. Dont ask dont get. If people did that it creates a stronger case. Either way the 370 isnt a localised car. Dealer Parts come from Japan and mainland Europe with long wait times.

But hands up, at £45k who would put their money on the table and buy one of these? For fairness, let’s add a PCP monthly of £550 based on a £7k deposit and a future value of £22.5k (50%, standard) after three years and a total purchase cost of £50k allowing for the interest. Play with those figures if you have a bigger deposit if you like, I’ve no issue with that.

Sadly not for me too expensive. My Stang will see me out as far as petrol sports/gt cars go. They will tax or ban us from cities eventually not least try and get us off the road because of loud exhausts (ahem) either way if you don't go down the electric route you are stuffed. Did you hear about them suggesting putting the price up for petrol cars so electric seem cheaper? Honestly that must have been a Friday night after a drinking session special that one?

So sadly no new zed for me even if they do eventually ship them here, unless they do a cracking part ex on the Stang.

I doubt I'd pay that either for one to be fair. My Mrs couldn't understand why I was so upset that they weren't coming to the UK...because she said it is not as if you'd buy one new. I said that I would in a few years time though on the used market.

So in some ways you can understand Nissan not bothering with the UK market.

Too rich for me for what I've seen so far. Funnily enough I'm considering some Pork and Lotus in the price bracket just below (and also a Mk2 Nismo in the bracket just under that) but this isn't quite sexy enough right now to get me going. Though I would say the exact same about the Supra and people love that.

My god am I late to the party, I love a good opinion but PAGES have passed before I even got here to post about it (no I'm not reading them all)   Looks alright.... haha I still can't help feeling it looks like a cheap bodge together.  From a good few angles it just looks like a 370 Nismo with some of the panels (spose that in itself was meant to nod to the original).  I like the HR 350 style bonnet bulge, interiors fine, not entirely sold on the rear.... I also would like a tail flick, I HATE cars the cut off straight down (A7...).  Don't care how retro, get a flick in their (like they did with the 370Z nismo to sort out its cut off rear a bit more).  Oh and yeah, sort the front out a bit more...   besides all that and my useless opinion, nice looking thing. It is a shame its not coming here (for now..).  I did think when I saw that for 2 secs (.....the forum though...used Z's will only last for so long before they rust away undeneath)

I wouldn't touch it. I'd be living in the hope that I could pick up a decent used example of the Z.

It is expensive. Theres a possibility it could go for £40k with discounts in Japan after a year or two depending on the numbers. Anyone hoping for £25k probably will wait 4-5 years. All that if it comes here as import. If its import only I doubt owners would want to give it up lol. When ones comes up for sale immediately goes to the highest bidder.

The car is basically 240, 300 and 350, 370 all in one. I still like the side profile. The rear has an old Ferrari/ 300ZX vibe. I hope they make the rear lights wider. So small.

@stanski best site to create a petition that isnt Change.org lol

That looks terrible :yuck:

I don't think the zed is that sort of car is it? Maybe a 60s Aston or Jag for the Gentleman fisherman, whilst your average Jack the lad zed owner will be more interested to see how soon they can wear the tread off the tyres on the nearest roundabout.:D

I think that the overall design of it is awesome. It is such a shame that it is not coming here for sure.

lol the way the 370 struggled post 2013....I cant blame them. People really didn't give it a chance. They can keep breaking necks though *shrugs*

A petition is futile. 3000 signatures from general JDM, 350z/370z and Juke Nismo owners of which 200 solid orders...100 cancellations due to Covid 20,...And new GR 86........Nissan: ....... Exactly! All deposits refunded
