VibraTechnics Transmission Mount

Had this fitted today (hardened & much more rubber than the pathetic oem one) fast road NIS234M

It has made a massive difference!  Gearchanges are smoother and less jerky, I've also seen an improvement in acceleration and braking :)

I bought from wg_motorparts on ebay

https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F323416504257

Excellent customer service and competitively priced & couldn't find for sale by the forum sponsors on their websites.

Very tempted to uprate the engine mounts as well to reduce the heavy front engine pendulum effect in corners & tighten up the drivetrain further to enhance acceleration, braking & prevent wear.  Reckon this is more important than arbs & springs, but will prob do them as well, but may be later, after doing the engine mounts.

VibraTechnics only do competition spec engine mounts & mine's a daily so thinking may be Hardrace?  Rhdjapan have Sun ones but gets very expensive with delivery and import taxes so want to buy from UK distributor.

No NVH issues after driving for several hours in commuter traffic.

If anything, it's actually reduced NVH!  Less clatter and reduced harshness as drivetrain movements are much better controlled :)

Another 3hrs driving now done, there's a little more vibration from the transmission tunnel at idle but the gearknob doesn't rock back and forth on/off throttle; also demonstrating how more accelerative & braking force can be transmitted to the road, and more precisely with better feel, rather than wasting it on unsettling drivetrain shunt!

The exhaust now has a bit more rumble at idle & on the overrun, with slightly more burble :)

N - better noise, non rattling
V - bit more through gearknob at idle
H - reduced as drivetrain shunt reduced
