It's done it since I degreased a small part of the right hand side of the engine near the oil filler. Belts were changed last year, could the tensioner need tightening? Cheers Ben Hello Ben, I had the same issue. Changed both belts then about a year later started getting the same squeal on a cold start. My understanding is that the new belts wear and stretch a little since its new. Tighten the tensioner up again and it will be sound :) I did mine couple weeks ago and been perfect since.
