Posidrive 1 Report post Posted November 29 (edited) Failed MOT on front lower control arm and got a replacement manufactured by Moog. My garage says it does not fit because the connection point shown on the photos which show original and replacement has been over machined so it is too deep, so it moves around when fitted. Do I have a badly machined new part or are we missing something Which connection point is shown in this pic? is it the point that connects to the ball joint? or the point that connects to the front subframe? The point that connects to the subframe has a bushing in it, so that arms should have a bushing in that location. The point that connects to the ball joint, you have to make sure you use the "cone" on the ball joint to stop any movement. I replaced my lower control arms on both sides last week ( not moog ones ) and not had any issues with fitment. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Posidrive 1 Report post Posted November 29 Its the point that connects to the ball joint. I have not seen the new one in place but the garage says that when the cone is located the it still moves.
