Fitted a small In-line switch to the power supply of the YAW sensor the other day. Never realised how much the TCS interfered with the drive of the car even when it was apparently turned off! I've left it completely turned off ever since. Probably one of my favourite, cheap modifications I have done! :D

More car parts are on their way as well. Watch this space B)

can you send me some info on this switch you have bought, cheers:thumbs:

I'll put the info on here in case anyone else is interested - but feel free to send me a Pm if you want any further info!

The switch itself is just a basic rocker switch that I got from ebay here

The YAW sensor is located under the cup holder. Just splice the green wire that runs to the sensor and wire in the switch. When turned off, the car will have the TCS and ESP completely turned off. You will get both the TCS and ESP lights illuminated on the dash. If you want it back on, just flick the switch and turn the car off and back on again. All the lights will disappear. Job done!

In the photo the box circled in pink is the sensor, the green cable circled in orange is wire you need to splice in to. Hope that helps

I did the same thing a few months ago only I cheated and bought a ready made kit from a member trader on here. Found it irritating how the stability control kept on intervening during play time so now it's permenantly off. Only thing now is, with the sticky tyres I have its highlighted how poor the stock lsd is and how the stock seats have very little lateral support. Time for an o's giken lsd, 3.9 fd and a pole position recaro seat.

Couple of photos from Spring Action Day on the Infinity Exhaust stand. Had a really good spot in the centre of the paddock & infinity paid for my entry so win win! Brilliant day overall :D

Can't wait for the new bits and pieces to arrive. Should look tonnes more aggressive than it is currently :teeth:

Converted the rear BC's to true coilovers this morning. Used my old 10kg front springs temporarily until my 326 Power springs arrive. Worked out perfectly and tonnes cheaper than selling my coilovers and buying some true coilovers off the shelf! Quite amazing at how much of a difference it has made to the way the car feels by negating the spring bucket! Just need to get myself some toe arms now to finish the rear off finally!

Bit of a relief that it all went to plan as the guys at BC weren't too sure whether or not it'd work out or not. Figured it'd be okay though as they sell a 350 true coilover option and the design is very similar.

Ordered some helper springs today as well to accommodate the shorter spring length on the new 326 springs.

Hoping to have it all complete within the next 2 weeks!

10kg is a tad stiff for true rear coil overs. What kg will you replacements be?

If 10kg is a bit stiff then you probably wouldn't want to know what the replacement spring rates are  :pinch:

The car is being built purely for aesthetics at this point to be honest. Still drives relatively well and is perfect for having fun at lower speeds compared to having soft springs and huge meaty rear tyres.

On Saturday i fitted 4 new tyres in a 235/35/19 as well so at this point i think the actual handling capabilities are seriously reduced compared to a properly set-up road/track car.

The stiffer rear spring rate and skinny-ish tyres really help the car step-out at very low speeds compared to before so it's honestly the most fun to drive it's ever been! Definitely would hurt the feelings of a lot of purists though that religiously run PS4's in super-wide widths and proper suspension set-ups etc.

At least you are make your modifications with a clear goal in mind and analysing the effects of the mods good and bad . Any research into if the rear turrets can handle the force of high kg spring rates ?

@Bry I spoke with 326Power a few times to discuss any issues they may of had with running the true coilovers with high spring rates but seemingly there were none to report.

Ive spoken with a few people over in Japan as well as a guy in the states who ran spring rates higher than the ones I've ordered and there were no issues on their part as well.

I'm still tempted to get some form of strut brace / reinforcement made just to be on the safe side but we'll see. I tend to drive my car quite carefully on roads I don't know very well and avoid basically all bumpy roads and potholes so the car lives most of its life either on the motorway or relatively main A roads so I won't be smashing it over bumps and shearing turrets.

The new exhaust is on! Sounds soo much better now. Still has the same deep tone to it as before but just with a lot more volume!

Finally gave it a quick wash as well so it's ready for the new sunstrip and a few pieces to go on tomorrow.

Sounds like it shouldn't be a problem.  Look forward to seeing it once it's all installed

To continue with the theme of this thread, the car is once again a bit lower and a bit more impractical :lol:

326 Power springs fitted alongside Gaz helper springs. Fitted my Torqen undertray at the same time as well! Probably far to excessive for most but it looks spot on imo.

Just need to make myself a nice lip kit and get a 326 Power wing fitted to finish it off a bit i think.
