350z HR Question - MOT: Bush Coming out of the lower Arm?

Hi Guys,

Very odd one, I took my 2009 350z HR which has covered 35,000 miles. Everything was fine, he was really pleased with the car. He then took me to the car and showed me that the front driver side bush is coming out of the suspension arm? (apologies if I haven't got the correct name for it). It passed as it didn't effect the test but something i need to address.

What's the best way to address this? Replace the complete arm, replace the bushes etc. And why would this happen? These are pressed and not meant to come out are they?

Pictures below:

Any advise will be appreciated guys.

Cheers

That is your compression rod bushing and is definitely an MOT failure.

It is a wear and tear item and is a common failure.

New bushings are in stock but you will require a commercial press to remove and refit the bushing.

Also in stock are new arms complete with bushings and ball joints, which is the easier option.

Just drop me a PM if I can help further.

Alex. :)

Hi Alex,

Thank you for your message.

The parts you supply, are they the Genuine Nissan parts? If so, could you send me a quote on the complete arm please?

Cheers
