And so it ends...........

Well its done,  the Ginga Ninja has been sold , but the good news is its going back to its previous owner Kris aka Hensh65,  a well known member and former REO.

Thoroughly loved and enjoyed her but my lust for a boosted car project has become an itch that needs to be scratched. So very happy it's going to Kris as he loves this Zed as much as me.

What's next ?, I've no idea yet, keeping my eye on Autotrader daily so we'll see what comes up for sale. Will still be active here and continue with my Mod and reo duties as this is thee best car forum going.

I've looked at couple that are up for sale down south Colin, looked good cars but a mot check has revealed some worries. Shaun and I are going to take a long weekend at end of March and go look at some cars  up and down the UK, so I'll see what pops up and arrange to go see them. A couple of skylines and evo's are / have been peaking my interest, as has an insignia vxr and a couple of Nissan Imports too so we'll see where I end up.

The house refurbishment is taking up a lot of my time but come end of March I should be over the worse of it and free up some viewing time

Hopefully my ideal car will come along shortly and can get my modding head into gear on it.

Was only joking on the Celica front ;) They are good for about 330bhp on a standard block beyond that they get a bit unhappy so would need an engine rebuild with stronger internals. R33 GTR is massively tunable and still affordable. R32s are still skyrocketing in price. If you could sneak in a TT Supra that would be a tremendous!

@coldel going to view a couple of cars next Thursday,  Audio S3 and EVO VII.  Ive been trying to track down a GT4 but there's only 2 at for sale on auto trader,  and not really particularly good example going by the background checks I've done. Also looking at a couple of WRX STI's and dare I say it a Saab turbo X 2.8 v6 !!

That Audio S3 should sound good ;)

What about an Evo VI Tommi Makkinen, prices are going nowhere but up at the moment might be a good time to jump on one?

Aye....looked at a couple but they're all at Motorhub  sadly mate

Only just seen this, shame about the loss of the Zed, but it'll be interesting to see what boosted fun you get up to. Saab would be an interesting one.

The Saab would be Stu,  very left field for modify in the UK, and a rarity here, which appeals to me a lot,   but quite a large following for them state side. I actually really like the shape of them and the interior is lush. 280bhp as standard with an easily tuned engine that's good for 400 ponies on standard internals if the US modify scene is to be believed. I have an indy Saab specialist in Edinburgh who's highly thought of so may well seek his opinion on them.

Only down side is its an Auto ...... but tbh at my age it's not something that bothers me much.

Just a std V or V1 imho are far nicer than a V11, they look so much more purposeful and should be very easy to come by.

Agreed they do look good, but every evo looks good to me, except the X,  still undecided on that shape.

If you’re wanting a turbo it has to be jap. Evo is a good shout

Took a test drive yesterday in a s3 hatch.......surprisingly I really liked it. Never really looked at them as a possible modding project but i liked it a lot

So, spent yesterday with Shaun down Newcastle way looking at various cars, EVO vii, S3 and ............  a M3 E46. EVO was nice but auto and there was little history evidence to go with it, so that was out. S3, I liked from my previous road test, but had another to look at but got to the car sales place and the salesman was "away on a private matter" with it... that peeved me as I had the test drive booked for a week !!!. Roll on to the next car place and the M3....... stunning in every way, full history mostly BMW, imacculate condition inside and out with just 4 owners and 81000 miles on a 04 plate in Phoenix Yellow, took It for a test drive and half an hour latter slapped down my deposit. Was very surprised how much I liked it straight off. Might have had something to do with Shaun handing me the keys to his E92 M3 and saying "you want to drive Dad", wasn't turning that down.

Bejesus. ...what a car to drive, never been that into BM's but Im converted now, that is thee best drive of a car in my life.

Pretty sure it was subliminal seed planting by Shaun to buy the E46 and it worked !!,.

My want for boost went straight out the window after driving both the M3's.

So.... happy bunny now, just waiting for the call to say it's ready to be picked up, hopefully no later than Wednesday next week. Pics will follow when I get her home

Thanks Col, yes definitely. Like I said I was never a bm fan previously but that was promptly changed yesterday. Shauns M3 is just incredible to drive, only way to describe it is its like taking a steroid injected male rottweiler for a walk on a lead, walking behind a female rottweiler that's on heat !!!!. Even pottering through Newcastle City in 7th gear, it's just feels like it's egging you on to floor it, incredible car. The E46 was great to drive too but we were hitting rush hour so only got to open her up a couple of times but loved it. And that Pheonnix Yellow colour is stunning.

Funny how sometimes a car pops up that was never on radar, exactly the same happened when i bought the VX220, never ever thoughts about wanting one, then after spending a moment looking over one in a car park, i thought yeah why not!!!
