Outlander TV series filming next to my home.

Never watched it but will tune in for next series as filming started on my doorstep today in the local forests in Rural Perthshire.

 

About 40 lorries/vans/huge cherry pickers way 80 feet in the sky were parked up in the previously prepared adjoining field.

 

Never seen a filming set in the flesh before but this was simply amazing, I was blown away by the scale of it and drones flying about everywhere.

 

Did not recognise any of the actors as like I said I have never watched the series.

 

Any Outlander fans out there?

Had to google to see what Outlander was. Nothing to do with Mitsubishi then

 

The only film sets I’ve seen were for taggart lol so this will probably be a bit more exciting than that

Watched a few episodes but never really got into it. Only watched it as they were filming near here a few month back and was curious to see what it was. I think its quite big in America

They give a charitable donation every year they use our works car park to film nearby, all their rigs used to chew up the ground :-/ thankfully it’s tarmac now. My aunt in Canada is mad for it, never watched it myself.

Working in Cambridge I occasionally see the Granchester show being filmed. Even for a small scene outside an old church they had shed loads of people & trucks with cabling & lights everywhere. Mad.
