evilscorp Posted November 17, 2017 Share Posted November 17, 2017 I am about to buy tyres for the vossen's and trying to tell myself £200 extra for MPSS is worth it over the P Zero's. But the main question I want answered first is would it be a bad idea to have XL tyres on the back and standard on the front? The tyre sizes I am looking at are 275/35/r19 for the front and 295/35/r19 for the rear. Pirrelli only make normal P zeros for the front size and XL (reinforced) for the rear. The Michelin pilot super sports only come in XL. The combined traction control difference is 0.63%so shouldn't upset it too much over the winter (I know stupid time to bring the car back on the road). It was a bit miss leading about the XL status on some websites, I know it stands for extra load so I presumed it was reinforced sidewalls. Then you are not trying: Mich. non XL and Mich XL are like night and day on a 350 when pushing on, and I would go as far to say unsafe/dangerous on an R35 GT-R The heavier the car the more noticeable the roll.
