If you can find a PE1420 they should flow enough for 400hp.

They are the fastest spooling turbos in the world, too.

It's a direct bolt on for an SR20.

Also, a firm I was talking to when I had my Z said they could improve them.

I'm pretty sure they're rare as rocking horse sh1t now.

I dare say I probably had the only 2 in the uk lol.

If @Ian who has them now, wants to sell them on for more power, drop him a line.

Ended up buying a set of 300zx manifolds to see how they fit up against the VQ35 for future fun and if I get bored with SR20DET power. Going to splash some more cash on a GTX2867 gen2 .63A/R soon as two of them should fix on the 300zx manifolds and the SR20 with more than enough power to kill me.

As per usual, I take things off and buy new parts when they really aren't needed.

Swapped some pulleys for some shiny new ones, then damaged the crank pulley when removing it, should be fine but might buy a better condition one.

Also noticed the water pump wasn't smooth to turn in both directions (probably doesn't need to be as it should only go one direction) but it bothered me so I took it off and ordered a new one since its easy to do out the car, also ordered a new front main seal just to keep the oil in and things fresh.

started a wee video log on youtube but its pants and mostly for my own amusement at the moment.

New front main seal.

and new water pump.

but best of all... new turbo.

69624525_10162339369025441_2696849002116

Started to make a bung for the EGR. Cut the old pipe off to use the nut then made a plate to weld on top,

Need to grind it down to see how well good the welds are and if there are any pin holes.

But as normal had too many other jobs to do around the house and helping out my parents.

Looks fine, just need to pressure test it somehow.... probably with a running engine lol.71098804_10162346068685441_1703398546583

Also bought a Apexi power FC and hand commander as it was cheap on a marketplace.

Saves having to wire in a board that might not have a great tune, also should let me have a play about with mapping, just might take a while as the resolution isn't great for fuel maps.

Next step is to figure out how to wire and run a 350z maf (my old one as my car uses the uprated uprev one) this should be loads cheaper than the usual 300zx maf's which go for £100, and should allow power to rise from 280 to 380ish, not quite sure as I have only just started researching them.

Made some brackets to hold the 350z coilpacks down in the tubes and allows me to keep the rubber seal so dirt won't get in, unfortunately the white/grey cover has to go.

I am not a style queen so nothing was measured or cut well lol.

Sad times, I was told the car was finished by the restorer after months of waiting and false promises from the guy I turned up and it was half complete. Ended up being a paypal dispute but hopefully it's clear cut and I will get money back.

So it's back in my possession and I now need to see whats missing/broken and needing finished.

Most of the new floor and sills have been primer'd but the ones that haven't I have done, today I used cavity wax to stop any fresh bits in the sills going rusty, lets just hope I don't have to weld near them as I think the stuff is very flammable?

every crevice I could find I sprayed in, I bought 3cans and still have a small bit left in the first one. I will redo them all once ive finished welding any parts that need done (seat mounts were cut out and not replaced).

I may have lost some of my labels on the connectors...

Didn't want to use rubber grommet for the air con delete so welded the holes (near the downpipe so a bit hot for rubber)

Mocking up a removable harness bar. Tried to put mounts under the rear seat arch but the fuel tank hits them so no go.

350z brembos needed the geomasters drilled out to accept the larger bolt.

Also braum seat will fit a 5'10" driver and no one else lol, my head is going to be below the roll cage and in a good position for me, however the missus might struggle as it wont go much further forward and it can't move back due to the roll over bar.

Made some -6 An fuel lines and mounted my filter, might make a shield to protect it some more,(used my new heavy duty garden shears for this and only this lol)

cleaned and torqued the flywheel and twin plate clutch,

Tried to swap the heater hoses at the firewall and bought a hose kit which had every hose under the sun, (bar those ones) started to fit them and realized i would need to take off the inlet manifold... then clean it... and remove the old injectors after their screws rounded. Got nismo 555cc to go in.

The oil and water line kit for the turbo is a bit long, wish I had made my own, but I think ive managed to route it of so it wont grind off stuff.

Few updates.

custom wastegate bracket made, new coolant hoses, larger injectors, custom harness bar (I may do more to make it even more safe for my own piece of mind, wanted it removable for rear seat use if needed.)

My custom shifter bracket is still too long so had to buy the gktech one, just need to fit it.

The stupid gearbox mount doesn't line up and is too far back for the front two bolts so need to modify the rubber mount to move it forward if i can as I don't fancy just two bolts holding it up.
