300zx owner, pending 350z addition!

Recommended Posts

So last year I bought a  300zx with a view to restoration. Currently stripped out engine bay and ongoing welding underneath. Hoping to track/drag it eventually.

So not going to bore you with the 300zx details but I've been weighing up the option of a 350z daily to crave my RWD appetite for a few years now; Among plenty of other reasons why I have a passion for the Z cars.B)

I would prefer an unmolested Azure blue. Would settle for Black, Red or Grey. Also hoping for a 2006+ GT 313 revised model slicktop with low miles. Yes I realise this is a hard find and at the top of their value, but i'm willing to invest! The hunt begins here, so i thought I would make a start with the intro..

Finally managed to snap one up. An '07 HR in Black, 61k on the clock. Some of you may recognise it on the forum

Sorry for bad quality, it was a rush job. More to come because it's booked in for a 3 stage Correction Detail on 4th Sept for 3 days. Just as a kind of benchmark to see what clears up, where I stand with the paintwork..any major paint repairs required etc.. So I will do before and after pictures!

Really grown to love the car within the week I've owned her! It's truly is epic. I've always enjoyed a wolf in sheep's clothing but this is truly a wolf, no disguises.

Time to spend some money on her;

- A list as long as my arm to service (filters, liquids, belts, plugs)

-Bring the paintwork back to as close to showroom as possible. Including protection

-Aftermarket 2-din android stereo/sat navigation to hopefully tie in with Torque

-Remap, hopefully by TDI North.

-One alloy wheel refurb

-LED's thrown in here and there.

-Private plate

-Any other recommendations along the way!

Also need to get underneath it at some point, just to make sure everything feels as solid as it does driving it. Just suffering a few mechanical noises at the front, but unsure if these are just Z traits.

Stu!
Hows the ole girl doing! Its a shame the guy that bought it from me only kept it for a month!

I saw the Dyno results, 315hp! Pretty good considering it was just filters and exhausts!

I've been given an E46 M3 to look after for a friend, and its just not as good as my old Zed!
