So, I just bought a lovely new Roadster and cant for the life of me work out what the button above the open/close switch does??? The red light comes on when reverse gear is selected but nothing else in the car seems to get illuminated or changes. It is obviously an after-market mod but totally clueless what for! :dry:post-31843-0-57866600-1490397396_thumb.jpg

I was thinking one of the old style hands free things, but if the light comes on with reverse could it be a reversing camera of has it got aftre market parking sensors???

We love a good mystery so do let us know

Looks like a gate/garage opening device to me. Drive round to the previous owner's house and try it out :D

The fact it is hard wired makes that option unlikely I would think.

Does the indicator light up at all?

Daytime running lights fitted?

Not if it was wired up to a device the beamed the signal from the front bumper.

BBK, does this mean he can only reverse into this garage?

Sorry missed that. I just replied to Colin's reply to mine. Obviously if that's the case, my suggestion is way out.

And I've just realised when that was first said. My bad.
