And even though it's a great colour match on my car (haha) it's not very bubbly...... At all in fact it feels like you washing your car with just water.... and I'm using loads of product in the bucket! Any good car shampoo suggestions? Ekona Posted February 10, 2017 Share Posted February 10, 2017 Bubbles != a good shampoo. The best I've ever found was a pH neutral one by Wolfs IIRC, practically zero bubbles but wonderfully smooth. Not seen it for years though sadly. davey_83 Posted February 10, 2017 Share Posted February 10, 2017 (edited) Previously used AutoGlym bodywork conditioner, Meg's ultimate wash and wax, turtle wax, aldi owns, autostart autowash and this is my new favourite. Of course smells divine, very slick across the paintwork, tones of suds for not much product and very good water sheeting with an open hose after. But if you want a fantastic shampoo, try their Banana Gloss shampoo - very good and bubbly. But my current go to shampoo and has been for over 12 months now personally and for business use is Krystel Kleen Detail Shampoo. I just love their choccy wash (toffee chocolate scent). They have mint and cherry also, but it has the right amount of bubbles with a very slick feel on your wash mitt against the paintwork, also very very good value for money at £5.99 for 500ml at a 250:1 dilution ratio. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

coldel Posted February 10, 2017 Share Posted February 10, 2017 As far as I know from reading on Detailing World suds don't make any difference to quality of clean so don't get hung up on it. As long as it lubricates, cleans, and works its magic you should be fine. I use Bathe+ and its just stunning, when you rinse it the water runs off like you wouldn't believe. Sling shampoo in your bucket (hopefully with a grit guard, and another bucket with water and a guard too) Bung warm water in Use pressure washer in the bucket with shampoo, put the nozzle at the bottom or you'll look erm, well you'll see It'll make most of them foam up usually. Great stuff and a 1 liter bottle lasts ages. They had a sale a while back and i bought a lot of stuff to try from them I'm no expert but I feel everything I've tried from them so far has been pretty good. A shampoo should primarily clean and ideally be well lubricated, neither of these things are effected by how many bubbles it produces. 2 buckets is a must. Grit guards are a waste of money and encourage poor wash technique. If you're using more than the two 2 inches of water, you're technique can be improved and grit doesn't float. Bathe+ isn't very sudsy. You'll get a bit whilst filling the bucket but they tend to have gone by time you start washing the car; it is one of the best shampoos available. If you want a shampoo that cleans well, Bathe+ is awesome. Bathe is equally as good without the added protection. Car Chem Shampoo is just as good. If you want a shampoo that lubricates well, Bathe+ is awesome. Bathe is equally as good without the added protection. Car Chem Shampoo is just as good. If you want something that produces a lot of bubbles, Mr Matey is pretty good at that... Car Chem Shampoo is alright too. Your choice. But it's a concentrated shampoo so you really don't need a lot per wash. Just search 'Autobrite luxury suds' or 'luxury suds shampoo'.
