How long have you got? I can definitely find you someone who can fix it but it wont be overly cheap .........

Where are you based as well mate?

Next week really. Cars for sale so he doesn't want any prospective viewers to collar it.

Based in Chester.

I've seen guys at RTP fixing a similar crack on a BMW M3 carbon roof, came out like when it left the factory. It can be done if the carbon weave is not cracked, if it's just the lacquer. Sanded down and relacquered I suppose.

I'd give it a try if you have the right tools or take it to a body specialist if you don't.

Good luck!

Cheers Adrian. I had another look today and I reckon we've got a plan of attack

  • 2 weeks later...

Used a scalpel kit to carve out the cracked lacquer.

Feathered the edges as best I could with 1500.

Created a backmasked 'vagina' shape around the damage and flicked lacquer in until it built up.

Left it overnight and flatted the blend lines off with 1500 and polished in.

If I had a bit more time I'd of probs done the same thing again to further build the lacquer around the damage but the car is off to a new owner come Monday so it'll have to do.

I'd bet money on nobody ever noticing that had been repaired. ;) Great job.

Does that mean you owe me a detail dude?

Happy you got it done.

I managed to put some swirls on my GTR front bumper while washing off bird poo😖! Just can't believe using a soft toothbrush lightly could leave swirl marks👀
