  1. Mine to have corrosive 'bubbles' on the inner rim but I've had mine repainted already - before I knew about warranty issues that I have read on this (interesting) forum.

TBH, my local dealer is shocking and I wouldn't hold any hope for any warranty work being done by these clowns.

  2. Dear 350z-uk.com

I left home the other morning at the usual time of 7:45 but after less than 2 miles from my house my 350z conked out. I couldn't get it started so walked home where I got the shock of my life....

My husband was standing in front of the mirror in my underwear - knickers, suspender belt and bra. :scare: Tackling him on it he responded by saying all his were in the wash and he had no choice other than to go Commando. Pointing out his make up made him break down and confess that he's been cross dressing for the last 6 months.

I love him but don't know what to do. Please help.

    Confused Karen

    Dear Karen

There are many reasons why a 350z would 'conk out' as you put it. The weather we have had recently may have tripped a fuse. Did you check?

There is of course the more traditional run out of petrol reason too - are you sure you've not emptied the tank?

350z-uk.com suggests you contact your local garage and have them look at it.

My standard black B pillars were shocking - all dull and greyish rather than black. BUT Craig Mudd (muddydetail.co.uk) sorted them out a treat when he detailed it in April.

I don't know what he used but I suspect he machine polished them and got them back to black - they've stayed that way since. PM him - he's "Muddy" on here.

  4. I've been wanting to know what the fattest tyre that'll fit the GT4 wheels and I cannot believe how hard this info has been to get confirmed.... I like fat tyres but I am also aware of the handling problems when a car is 'over-tyred'.

    GT4 Wheels: Front= 8J Rear= 8.5J

    Original tyres: 225.45.18 and 245.45.18

It's definitely possible to get 265.40.18 on the rears but maybe even 285.40.18.

Either set would give a tolerance of -1% or +1% on the original using a tyre calculator.

Has anyone got any experience of putting fatter tyres on original wheels?

Some great photos Chris (if that's the correct description  ). Wow. We've had it pretty light here then in comparison.

This year's weather has not been welcome in the 73 household I can tell ya. My shorts drawer has mothballs in it

  6. The centre console, IMO, is a bit much but I like the other subtle bits. Especially the door bits.

Just went to your website but there aren't any prices on the bits I'm interested in - electric window door cover, door handle insert, gater surround and dial cover....

  7. :scare: I feel for you Nixy, the weather has been horrible and caught more than a few people out.

I second the thoughts of all of us on here. And too would air on the side of caution - don't even try to get it started. Get you local friendly garage to recover it and check it out before starting it. I know it's gonna be tempting to try to start it yourself but you may just worsen any damage.

At least it doesn't seem as bad as a guy in Range Rover near here. He tried going through Rufford Ford - water up to his window which was slightly open as he was smoking. Water poured in. His engine stopped. His electrics stopped. He couldn't get the window up, he's stuck in 4-5ft of water, can't open the door b'cos of the pressure so just had to sit there till the inside filled up to equal outside. He had no sunroof! Now being able to open the door he SWAM to the bridge. In his suit & tie. Leaving his '04 Range Rover stranded.

All this in front of a family we know who were watching!

  8. I guess this has been asked / covered before elsewhere but:

    1. What's involved in the TT conversion?

    2. Approx cost?

    3. Benefits of having it done? What actual gains do you get?
