Just wondering why this feature was limited to a few minutes. I think this should be bought back. It reduces the need to open up new threads related to similar topics. Also less need to contact mods to correct schoolboy errors. Worth considering.
Thanks
I just noticed that, thought I was going mad!

Abbey Motorsport, I wouldn't take my Z anywhere else.

Hi guys,
Thought I would document the life of owning my GT4. Just bought it a week ago from a salvage auction site, no viewings, just online bidding. Luckily I won and had it transported home. As you can imagine, there is a list as long as my arm of bits to tidy and sort.
I've been very lucky that the engine sounds as it should do. Not driven it yet as a front alloy has a crack in it. There's a replacement coming this week.
A few photos of how I saw it to bid on!
Hey Matt, what a great thread. Keep up the good work!

Hmmm, id change that plus its less oil. Ive usually done it on my other cars every 30,000-40,000 miles. I still think Honda and VW both do the best feel manual boxes. So smooth...
Thanks, I think that's about right. My Z is on 25k miles at nearly six years of age, so something I'll get done at some point next year.

It doesn't hurt to change the oil, but according to Nissan you don't need to. On a NA car I wouldn't bother under 100,000 miles. If you're building a FI car, you will need to upgrade the 7AT box anyway, therefore you can change the oil at the time.
The car we're building now it's a Nismo MK2 6MT, so manual, yes.
To conclude, IMHO 370z with 7AT being undesirable and more costly to service it's just a myth. I love the gearbox, I had two with 7AT, one still here in the warehouse, next to the DEMO 370z in 6MT.
How about the frequency of oil changes for a manual box 370Z. Is that maintenance free as well?

how was it @Loadmasterany pics?
Afraid not, not a big turn out, possibly due to a couple of other proper shows not too far away. The main parking area had been blocked off as well, due to a dispute between the club organiser and the landlord of the small industrial estate where it's held.

Fourways Engineering Meet - 14th October
in Local Meets Across The UK
Posted
Thought I'd post a few photos from this morning's meet at Fourways Engineering. A wide variety of cars and the biggest number of classic Zeds that I've ever seen.
