  1. I had a ticking noise on my 2007 DE Rev-up, that was fairly similar. Check out my YouTube video -

I had some success in switching to a 5W - 40 oil, instead of 5W - 30. I also replaced my Fuel Damper, but that made no difference.

  2. Just to update and bring this thread to a close, the Mishimoto Radiator came out this weekend and I fitted a replacement used OEM Radiator.

For anyone who's interested, here's the pictures of the Mishimoto after it came out. Let this be a warning to anyone considering one.:thumbs:

  3. After an OEM 350z DE Radiator, not aftermarket in the best condition possible (minimum damage to fins, fully working order with no leaks).

Willing to pay extra for postage and packaging to ensure it arrives undamaged and intact.

    Pictures would be great.

    Cheers

  4. Hi,

I have for sale, new boxed and sealed and ready to go a complete set of Mishimoto Silicone Radiator/Cooling hoses in black for sale.

This is a complete kit to replace the four main hoses on your 2003 - 2006 VQ35DE 350z. The kit includes the Upper/Lower hose, the smaller rubber expansion hose from the expansion/radiator cap to the expansion tank, and the cooling hose that runs under the plastic engine cover.

The item is in a brand new, never used condition, with only the box opened. Hoses are still in a sealed bag. I'm asking for £90 including post and packaging to mainland UK, which I think is fair as I paid £105 new

I reserve the right to remove the items from sale as they are also listed elsewhere, however if this occurs I will update this thread.

  5. Having real difficulty sourcing the Skunk2 Radiator as a replacement.

Torqen aren't able to help despite it being listed on their website, due to import/export costs

H-tune have a large amount of bad reviews online concerning expensive  items that never turned up, and no return communication meaning buyers have had to initiate paypal charge backs to get their money back

I've contacted Skunk2 Europe/Tegiwa regarding the Skunk2 radiator they have listed and their response is hardly convincing, seemingly dancing around my question surrounding the warranty period with a new Skunk2 Radiator purchased through them?!

    Any other suggestions?

The Koyo is very expensive, out of budget and offers little warranty.

Apart from a used OEM item, anyone got any other suggestions of traders who could help or supply alternatives? All I'm after is a UK Seller who can sell me the Skunk Radiator with a minimum warranty period of a year.

Still not heard from MM cs. Been a while now.

I would chase it up, if you submitted a warranty enquiry / claim form you should have received an Email with a case reference. The Email should contain a link to a Mishimoto Helpdesk Portal.  Follow that link, send a password reset to your Email address and then login to the Mishimoto Helpdesk Portal. From there you can start a Live chat to chase it up.

  7. Received my refund today. Overall I can't really fault the customer service, it was a little slow at times but in the end they've done well. However, let this post be a lesson to anyone who's considering one of their products... :stir::lol:

I'll be ordering a Skunk tonight. Fingers crossed :yahoo:

@Snjur, Did your Skunk radiator slot straight in without modification or hassle?

  8. Thanks for the replies guys, much appreciated.

Call me sour, but I've lost so much faith in the product (and Aluminum radiators) that I'm leaning towards declining a replacement and pushing for a refund, to source an OEM radiator. The experience has put me off Aluminum radiators completely, given that our engines suffer heavily if not adequately cooled.

I'm just not convinced by the competition either - they seem to offer even less in terms of warranty, for a radiator that looks identical, costs more (in terms of the Koyo) and come with less.

I'll do some browsing tonight but anyone know where I can source a high quality (new, not used) OEM fit radiator?

  9. Well, truth be told the Mishimoto OEM plastic end capped radiator is £180, the Mishimoto aluminium performance radiator is around £290.

I wanted the latter for its enhanced cooling capabilities as I like to think in the next three years, the car may be FI so it was on the list in addition to other upgrades.

Maybe I should just cut my losses and go back to plastic capped.

  10. Yeah, was bought directly from Mishimoto UK.

I lied in my original post, I've actually covered less than 1000 miles since it was installed. Hence my anger, as the leak would have been spotted as a manufacturing defect if tested properly.

I'm skeptical about all aluminium radiators now. People are recommending a Koyo radiator instead,  however Koyo only appear to warranty the initial startup of the radiator and the radiator is an eye watering £400 odd quid!! A lot of money to loose if the radiator develops a leak in the first two months after the initial 'start up', and the Koyo doesn't even come with a cap for that price.

I just want a water tight radiator, is that too much to ask :surrender:

  11. UPDATE: So after chasing Mishimoto support myself, and resending pictures of the leak and the Radiators serial number, Mishimoto have confirmed that they cannot get a new radiator to me until the 31st January 2018, as the radiator is out of stock.

The suggestion in the meantime from Mishimoto is to add the Mishimoto stop leak product to the radiator to stop the leak for now :scare:. Although they are offering this for free, and adding it would not void the warranty, for the sake of their faulty radiator, I'd rather not risk a blocked heater matrix or a blocked cooling jacket!

Whilst I appreciate the effort, I'm going to ask for and review any other options they can give me. However,  I suspect that if I request a refund they won't process this until they receive the faulty radiator back, which means over a week with the Zed on the driveway with no radiator before I can even order an alternative

I hate to slate vendors, but had this radiator been subject to proper QC, they could have identified this before it was shipped!! Would not recommend.

  12. Most of the opinions I've received align perfectly with what Alex has said.

I'm now concerned that if they issue a replacement, that it will do the same.

Has anyone here had a good experience or experiences with Mishimoto Radiators and their customer support?

Two days and even though I've submitted an online warranty claim and had an automatic acknowledgement, nobody has got back to me.
