  1. Hi All,

Well the time has finally come. I've sold my 2015 370Z Nismo.

I've thoroughly enjoyed owning it, but am needing something more practical and family friendly now.

I found the forum when I bought my first zed, a 350Z GT4 and it's been a constant source for advice and assistance whenever I've needed it. So thank you to everyone who has ever taken the time to answer my many queries and questions.

I will be the first to admit that I am pretty inept when it comes to car maintenance and modding. Hence why I always left it to the professionals. I just had a love of sports cars and and it was a real joy simply being able to own one.

No doubt I shall look in on the forum from time to time. Will always be interested in what people are doing with their zeds.

For now I wish the forum and it's members all the very best.

    Thanks again.

Out of interest.... how does the Ark sound compared to the tails??

The short tails were louder, especially on a cold start. Where as the ark exhaust has more of a deeper growl.

I bought the short tails not long after buying my 370z Nismo. The oem backbox and tails weren't in great condition and these were a cheaper option for tiding up the back end than forking out for a whole new exhaust system.

The reason for upgrading the whole system now was because my zed was serviced recently and my mechanic said that the exhaust mid section would need some attention in the near future. That gave me the perfect excuse to get the entire system replaced.

  3. ** NOW SOLD **

** Will consider reasonable offers ***

Am selling my Tarmac Sportz Short Tails as I now have an Ark Grip exhaust on my zed.

Am wanting £325.00 which includes shipping. Alternatively I will sell for £300 if buyer wants to collect. I am based in Somerset, near Glastonbury.

Short Tails are in good condition. Please see the pics below.

    PM me if interested.

    Thanks.

Looks spot on. Did it have to be modded to fit your Nismo ?

Never hear an ark grip but meant to be spot on.

My invidia is at customs so should be long now for mine.

The flanges to the left of the rear diff had to be readjusted and the exhaust itself was lengthened. Without the extension the tails would have been tucked under the car. I believe it's because the 370Z Nismo is slightly longer than a standard 370z.

It won't hurt to have it mapped. Are you changing the cats also?

I'm not changing the cats at this time, but I may do at some point.

  6. Hi Guys,

Well I've ordered the Ark Grip exhaust for my 370z Nismo.

Can't wait to get it fitted.

Yes there may be some fitting issues, but I do have a local welding firm on standby who can do any additional fabrication work required. The extra cost will be well worth it as I think it looks great.

I will of course post up some pics once It is on.

Just one question, will it be worth getting my zed remapped once it fitted? I'm guessing not, but just wondered.

I'm sorry, it's straight for the manufacturer, not much more we can do :)

Thanks for posting the reply from ARK. It's a shame as I do like the Grip exhaust.

    Reply from ARK Performance:

    Hi Adrian,

Our 370z GRiP Exhaust does not fit the Convertible and Nismo Model. The GRiP exhaust interferes with some brace bars near the differential in the rear. If you check our website when you click on the specification tab we list it not fitting the Convertible and Nismo model.

For the Nismo model our DT-S Exhaust will fit.

This is the DTS he's referring to:

    This is getting rather confusing.

100% agree. Was told by Tarmac that my Ark would fit my Nismo and it didn't. Had one on my 350z no issue but it doesn't fit the Nismo 370z. The pipes did not clear the rear diff so we had to cut, weld an extension to get it past the diff. We checked every way but it didn't fit. My mate has a garage and has worked on Jap cars as a specialist for years and has fitted 100's of exhausts systems and believe me it didn't fit without fabrication. That being said it's worth it. By far the best system I have heard and looks great.

I spoke to Chris at Tarmac on Tuesday and had decided to go for the Ark Grip exhaust. However on seeing Payco's post as above, I called Chris back today to query this issue with him. It seems that Ark do two versions of this exhaust. One to fit a standard 370z and one for the Nismo version. If you are thinking of getting this exhaust from Tarmac, get in contact with them prior to ordering and state which exhaust version you require. I'm on holiday next week, but will be placing my order when I return.

  10. Hi Guys,

I had my 370z Nismo serviced Friday. It all went well. The only thing my mechanic did say was that the mid section of the exhaust may need some attention at some point.

With this in mind I am considering getting a new exhaust system. I've currently got Tarmac short tails on my zed and ideally I'd like a system that will produce the same sort of sound. Cosmetically I do like the systems with titanium tips.

    Any recommendations?

Which spring did you order, did you go for the Mustang one?

I bought the spring from "jollyranchers" here on the forum and don't know where it was purchased originally.

Jollyrancher did provide an ebay link though, as below.

I have one for sale , PM if interested

The spring makes it easier to feel and hold the biting point when sat at a junction or the lights which in turn allows you to make off easier without loading the revs on for fear of stalling

Had the clutch helper spring fitted today. Clutch pedal does feel a little bit stiffer, but am able to feel the biting point a lot better.

What are the main reasons why you are looking to sell if you don't mind answering. Also have the same car btw

I love my zed don't get me wrong, but I'm one of those people who likes to get out about most weekends. I do a lot of walking and very often this means going off the beaten track sometimes, down small lanes, etc. Obviously with a car like this the one thing you don't want to be doing is having to drive your car up onto a verge or into a hedge if there is a tractor or something coming the other way for fear of scratching the hell out of it. When I do plan a trip out these days, I'm checking google to see what the road are like where I am going.

I had a ford focus before my zed and because I wasn't that precious about it, it got muddy, scratched and was a real work horse and in some ways I do miss having a car like that. Something I don't have to worry about. I can't really afford to run two cars either so this is the conundrum I find myself in. Do I keep my zed and just avoid going off the beaten track or do I sell it and get a go anywhere vehicle?

  14. Hi All,

I had a new windscreen fitted this morning.

It all went well until I was out in my zed at lunchtime and it started to rain quite heavily. I put the wipers on auto, they wiped once and then didn't wipe again after that.

Have done a search online and think it may be because they didn't re-adhere the wiper sensor properly. Have just got in touch with them so hopefully they will be able to sort it out.

Just one question though. There is a cover over the sensor inside the car, does this come off easily? I'm hoping it wont involve having to take the windscreen out again to fix.

  15. Hi all,

Lately I've started thinking about selling my 2015 370z Nismo.

It's a great car don't get me wrong and it certainly turns heads. I've had lots of fun with it and it's been a join to own.

I've not made a definite decision yet, but just wanted to ask all you guys a question.

I know I could probably get more if I sell it, but I've been looking at other vehicles and was considering the idea of part exchanging it if the right vehicle came along.

What are your thoughts? I know I wouldn't get as much for my zed if i did part exchange it, but it would make things a lot easier.

  16. The Front and Rear Burger Z badges are now sold.

I still have the Nismo badge if anyone is interested. Would like £15.00 which includes the postage.

    SOLD - 1 x Silver Front Burger Z Badge

    SOLD - 1 x Silver Rear Burger Z Badge

    1 x Nismo Badge

Please PM me if you are interested.
