Where are they on the depreciation curve do we think?

Like trying to explain what a Glanza is to insurance companies 😅
Imports are annoying like that. I’ve seen V5s for 90s Nissans that are the wrong car or worse vaguely state “Nissan Sports” etc. if I remember correctly my original V5 didn’t have the engine capacity or anything.

You should have bought mine. Although i started to develop a rattle around the passenger rear speaker area. Possibly a loose connection to the speaker or loose trim.....Early pre 2012 models suffered steering lock issues and oil gallery gasket. I did buy a spare steering lock but decided to just remove the fuse.
370 has advantage of more grip in the back. More power and torque. The auto does 0-60 in 4.7 with best tires. Its more refined and very analogue.
Its a classic auto although the sequential is the wrong way round. It picks up quick and theres no fuss. Its a fast car with lots of character. Dashing looks and suitable for people up to 6 foot 4 at most. You can recline the seats.
Depending on your budget you should look at late 2012 onwards. Face lifts are from late 2013 onwards. They have come down a bit in price. 16k and up should get you a facelift.
My 300zx is worth between £15-20k I suppose depending on who is looking for what and how long I’m prepared to wait for the right price etc etc. I recon I could get a decent 370z without adding any extra cash. For transparency the other car it’s between is a Corvette but I want the ZO6 model and it would require some additional cash. -

The GT Edition had more camber and a slightly different suspension to base. Some owners would have changed their setup after all this time.
My current Fairlady has completely aftermarket suspension, only the lower arms are stock. I probably wouldn’t go as far but things like height and camber would be changed to my preference anyway.

Hi guys,
some of you may know me from previous events at japfest and simply Japanese but the long and the short of it is I’ve pretty much decided to sell my Z32 300zx. Of the short list of replacements is a 370z, particularly a black edition or Nismo.
I haven’t actually driven a 370z yet but I’m assuming the driving experience between a normal and the edition versions will be pretty similar, similar enough that test driving a normal one would give me a good indication wether I like it or not. Il end up modifying it anyways. The primary reason why I fancy an edition car is that i plan to own it long term, I’ve had my 300 for 14 years.
I would potentially be open to swapping as apposed to buying but I think find the right 370z and some one who is after a more vintage Fairlady is low. Automatic 370s seem to be significantly cheaper, is there a reason for this?
-
-
I’m potentially looking at acquiring a 350 or preferably a 370 as a project. I wouldn’t really want an insurance write off but more a mechanical basket case. What would be fair prices?
Im really only finding road worthy cars for sale.
Thanks. -

We have space for 50 cars collectively guys. I'm sure some will drop out and 51 won't be a deal breaker. By all means come along still, at this stage obviously it's simply a numbers game. If we have too many they may have to park separately from the main group, that's worst case I believe.

Hi guys, yup still taking slots for now. So add your names to the list.
You can normally pay on the gate but it is requested you pay online ahead of time to ease entry for the organisers.
Cheers.

Fellow 300zxclub member and REO Howard aka bigh has stepped up to the plate and will now be guiding you in and will be our representative for the day. As I said before I will still be here upto the day to answer your PMs update lists etc etc. Cheers again Howard.

Now that's the positive update out the way I have a negative point to tell you all and a request. Just thought I'd explain and apologise, I am no longer able to attend this event this year. Gutted really, as it's the first time I've missed it and with me taking the role of organising it I'm pretty embarrassed as well. I'd of thought this was going to happen due to the car not being ready, whilst that's close to being true it's not the case. It's also not a proper reason like poor health. The truth is such. There were two work rotas, these are printed months ahead of each other and we approve them before they are concreted in. Sadly I missed an error where the two overlapped, with the result of me being scheduled to work on both weekends the 29-30/07 and 5-6/08 in error, these things happen. Sadly I saw the August date and thought, "oh well that's fine" forgetting about the July date. So the basic jist is I'm working and its a commitment I cannot rearrange. I only realised this this morning. I wont be abandoning things however and will continue to answer your PMs and help out sort everything upto the day, I just wont be attending personally.
Now the show must go on, literally and will. So I am looking for someone to jump in last minute and firstly lead the convoy from the rally point to the show ground and to make sure the clubs get into the show ground properly. Anyone who is up for this please PM me and we can discuss it.
Again massive apologies for this pretty basic over sight and I hope you all have a great time. -

Please let me know if your not on this list so I can amend it and then update the front page.
We won't be having a premeet the night before, lack of enthusiasm for it just makes it a non starter. So as per previous years will have two choices;
Arrive casually and be parked up as it suits you before 9.30am in the show ground following the blue signs for Simply Japanese to the motor museum.
or
There is a Rally point to catch up and join the various convoys which will depart at 8.15am from The Applemore Tesco, the address for that is as follows;
Sizer Way,
Dibden,
Southampton
SO45 5JA
If I could request those that do wish to be in this group are present for 8am as we will be leaving at 8.15am sharp, if your late and the convoy has left then I do apologise but we have a-lot of cars to get into the site, please make your way to the showground. I'm sure it doesn't need to be said but Tesco have never moaned at us using this as a collection point, the store is closed till 10 being a Sunday. They also however haven't given us permission to have a car meet in their car park, so some small notes on this. This collection point is not a meet it is simply (no pun) a collection point akin to a lay by which we must respect the land owner and rules of the road. Any behaviour that is antisocial or would jeopardise this part of the process will not be tolerated. We should only be present here for 15 minutes to half an hour, there are no facilities and you attend this at your own risk.
This week stand passes will be produced, this is a very basic piece of paper for you to print out and display on your dash. The purpose is to display your club to the marshals so we all get parked together.
Tickets are available on the website and have on previous years (I will check this) been available on the gate. For participants (those in a Japanese car parked on show) the prices are;
£10 for adults
£5 for Children
Normal ticket price applies for those turning up as spectators only.
I hope that covers everything, please let me know if it doesn't. I am busy at present but it's a more immediate priority now than it has been.- 1

Sorry this didn't get updated, for those that didn't see 350uk was actually down this weekend so I was unable to update this forum.
Therefore I ask just for a touch more patience and it will be done ASAP.

Cheers for updating the list Stuggerz, replying to your PM now.

It's that time of year again, we're now opening registration for Simply Japanese. If you haven't been before you can find last years thread here to give you a taste;
http://www.350z-uk.com/topic/107205-simply-japanese-2016/page__fromsearch__1
It's a show that's growing each year with a good turnout of mixed age Jap metal. So please pop your name down, we currently have a plot for 40 so get in fast.

Cheers Ekona but that's my exact intention. I may not even need them. They are too narrow at 8J yfor me longer term anyway. There the right centre bore and PCD though and the offset is alright. Price is helpful as is the fact il be passing them and therefore collection is free.
-
That's great cheers guys. I'm coming your way Wednesday and Thursday.
-
No no Andy, I'm after the internal diameter not the width. I think they are actually 8J these.
-
Quick query what is the internal diameter of these wheels? I'm doing a rear brake conversion and it looks like my current Ines are too small to fit the calipers. These might be an ideal solution. I'm even passing you twice next week.

Ultimately this is the right choice. You cannot do this kind of work without taking the block out. If if you managed it you’d be making compromises you’d likely later regret.
