  1. Hi pal, thanks for the kind words, it is too nice to let go so yeah I'm keeping it for a while. Will keep you in mind when I do eventually decided to sell it. You can follow me on Instagram z33kuro to see updates of any changes. Cheers

  2. Car is listed up for sale in here if anyone is interested, keep meaning to sell it as I don't use it enough since I have another car and use public transport to work. Will be sad to see it go, but hopefully to someone who can appreciate it.

  3. Hi all, I have owned this 350z since 2013 and now it's time to part with the car. First thing first, in 2015 the car was written off during my ownership when there was a extremely low speed collision which resulted in the passenger door and rear quarter panel was damaged, I have attached a photo of the actual damage below so you could see for yourself. The insurance company decided to write it off as the assessor noted it will need quarter panel which with parts and labour deemed it uneconomical to repair.

The aim of the build was a competent fast road/track focus 350z. There is minimal exterior mods and it has been largely focused on drivetrain and chassis. The engine is stock and not been messed with apart from maintenance.

It did have the usual 350z problem of rust spot developed on one of the rear arch, but it has been repaired properly with the rust cut out, new metal welded and sprayed instead of cheap bodge job of filling it with filler. It has no rust, underside is very clean, and the interior is very tidy bar a little nick on the passenger interior door panel. Some odd marks and trolley dents but the bodywork in general is very clean. The car runs extremely well, is hardly ever used in winter and was actually SORN'd over winter last few years.

The car has always been 100% ran on superunleaded fuel as recommended by the manufacturer. Everything works and air con blows nice and cold.

Most recent work was the new kidney braces, as flagged from the last MOT.

It has full service history, with booklets full of receipts, car has been very reliable during my long ownership and maintained regardless of cost, and it has lived up to what my aim for this car turn out to be mods wise. Took an instructor out at Anglesey recently and he commented on the car being very well set up.

Please be aware this is a fast road/track spec 350z fitted with solid gearbox/diff mounts solid bushes etc with a 2 way diff so please research what a 2 way diff sounds like if you don't know before you view the car. It is aggressive but there's no comparison with how it drives compares to stock 350z.

£5500 located in Manchester, you'd be hard pressed to find another big engine fast road/track spec RWD coupe for the money. Payment must be made by direct bank transfer.

  4. That fast right hander is a belter, daring yourself to carry as much speed as possible.

Running 255/265 still but in 40s, more sidewall for the road and similar rolling radius to stock, and I also like how they filled the arches too. Yeah they're Kumho PS91 not bad tyres for the price but comes with the usual road tyre on track limitations. Cup2 probably the best compromise for all in one tyre but they're so expensive, Goodyear Supersport seems probably best for performance/value.

Good idea about getting it printed off, haven't thought of that!

  5. Cheers mate, had an half and hour tuition with an instructor at Anglesey last time and he commented on the car is set up very well. Still running the same alignment spec as the pic above. Together with the solid bushes/inserts at the diff/back subframe the rear end is nice and taut.

Couple of things going forward I would like to change is to swap the rear wheels for some higher offsets so I don't have to run stretch, SPL bushes for the front and Goodyear Supersport as one tyre for all occasions.

Let me know how you get on with those tyre sizes @350Butcher

  6. Hey guys and girls, I always loved Japanese cars old and new, one I particularly love is the 240/260z. That's what inspired me to have some rear emblems and keychains made in the style of of the original Z cars.

The emblems are made in high quality ABS just like the OEM badges, with 3M adhesive backing, so installation is simple and quick.

The keychains are made in thick brushed metal. Really high quality and weight to it.

Check out the collection at www.expostfacto.co and also my Instagram for more pictures and videos of the products @z33kuro

    Thanks

  7. Finally got a day out at Anglesey after the lockdown to try out the new mods and settings, car felt very good but I think I will change the rear camber from -3 to -2 or -1.5, given when the rear end get lose it snaps quite violently, the diff was working very well pulling the car mid corner and exit. You could just push the pedal down alot more and sooner and the diff just put all the power down and sling shot you through!

The Z1 subframe inserts and SPL solid diff mounts works well too now there's hardly any slacks in the rear, you could feel it's a lot tighter at the back and the side to side bobbing during long hard cornering is completely gone. Does transmit a bit of drivetrain noise but personally I love the whine haha.

  8. Hi guys, lately my car has developed a grinding/rattling noise from the gearbox area at around 85mph+, doesn't matter whether I'm accelerating or coasting at the speed the noise remains until the speed drops from that range, the car sound and feels fine apart from that, any ideas what I should be looking out for?

  9. Sadly paint look a bit more worse for wear after it had the detailing done 2 years ago, it's hard to keep on top of black paint while living in a flat, hopefully that will change in the near future.

  10. Oh and managed to pick up a Greddy/Trust gear knob up from Japan! Always wanted one when my brother had one in his EVO VII back in the days, loved the look and feel of it, but when I looked a couple of years ago it was discontinued and trying to find a 2nd hand one was proving difficult.

Luckily when I went on a random search it appear Greddy has re-released that style and I just had to get it!

  11. Managed to pick up a Kaaz 2 way diff and bought some bits along to fit while the diff is getting changed, gone for solid SPL diff bushings, Z1 solid subframe inserts as well as new diff bearings and diff oil seals.

  12. Last time I updated this post back in December I was in the midst of going through a Corona like virus, and now with this lockdown going on and no road trips/trackdays happening I thought I'll post a few things re the Z.

Firstly had another alignment, raised the rear ride height a bit, adjusted the rear camber, with a bit of toe out at the front and bit of toe in at the rear, I think in the 8 years I have own the car this felt by far the best settings I've experienced, it turns in sharp, grips very very well and are totally predictable. Yet to trying out on track as it was cancelled amid the lockdown but I'm looking forward to it. The only thing that's annoying is the rear end bobs side to side during long fast cornering which I hopefully will remedy with parts I've listed further down.
