lol, yeah the phone is a bit of a random thing!! It does play through the speakers as well so no embarrassment in holding it!!!!

Not had the Porsche long but for a number of reasons i have decided to put it back up for sale. Primarily because driving it triggers my back pains (again) so not nice, plus the missus won't drive it!!!!
Porsche Boxster 3.2S
Metallic Basalt Black
6 Speed manual
November 1999 ( V plate)
Long MOT (cannot remember when due but if close will put 12 months on)
Full Porsche Service History bar a couple of Porsche specialist stamps
66000 miles
Full grey heated electric leather (no scuffs / burns etc)
Becker Stereo (6 cd)
Full built in Sat Nav
Air Conditioning with climate Control
Car phone with Bluetooth etc (never used but does work as I was shown when I bought it!!)
Electric windows / mirrors
Immaculate black hood and clear rear window. Hood was replaced 2 years ago so as new
Factory front Litronic (Xenon) front lights with washer jets built into the clear lights
2003 spec rear lights ( I fitted these when I bought the car and do still have the standard ones)
Brakes and tyres were replaced within the last 3000 miles
Central Locking
Factory fit CAT1 remote alarm
Tracker
Since owning the car not one thing has gone wrong, it starts on the button, I always let it warm up before driving and take great care in where I park it etc etc. Car has no dings or dents. I get around 29 / 30mpg on long runs and around 24 / 25mpg on short runs. It gets washed regularly and have recently had it detailed by a friend of mine (using Jeffs Workstat products?!). Car is a little dirty in the pics as I it could do with another wash, but will update the pics when the freezing weather goes by. The only bad bits I can honestly say about the car are that a few small patches on the wheels have started to erode a little (not that bad but worth mentioning), and there are a few very light scratches around the car (baring in mind its 9 years old and metallic black!!). I did look at dozens of Boxsters before I found this one!! Its HPI clear and I owe no finance on the car.
I’m after 10k for the car. I may part ex for a clean 350Z (UK one).
I’ve probably missed loads out so any questions please send me a pm or email chris.foster@standardchartered.com. Due to past experiences I will not answer any withheld numbers or anonymous callers (I was unfortunately carjacked earlier in the year so very wairy now).
Thanks

cheers chaps, i do see where your coming from but except for this it is very clean, and far nicer than any of the other more expensive ones I have viewed!!
I've looked on warrantydirect's website and it says that all gearbox internals are covered:
TRANSMISSION (Manual, Automatic and Overdrive)
Manual Transmission: gears, synchromesh hubs & rings, selectors, shafts, bearings, drive chains plus gearlever and bushes.
Automatic Transmission: torque converters, brake bands, valve block, governor (manual & electric) oil pump and seals, drive chains, gears, input shaft oil seal, clutches, servos and modulator valve, bearings plus gearlever and bushes.
Overdrive: Gears, shafts and bearings
The chap selling it has said that it has been like this for a while, he definitely wasnt an enthusiast but seemed to have looked after it really well.

Hi all,
Looked at a nice GM 350Z today which is up for sale, very clean etc etc..... car has 56000 miles on it with full history etc etc.. A couple of things I noticed about the car that concerned me!
Firstly the clutch pedal felt very high, biting point was almost at the top. I've heard that at this kind of mileage the clutch could be on its last legs (not really an issue as the car is priced VERY competitevly (sp!)). The other thing I noticed was that engaging 4th to 5th gear at an average speed it does the usual syncro grind, doing a slow gear change its fine. Now i've read up on the gearbox problems and was wondering that if I was to buy an aftermarket warranty would syncromeshes etc be covered by it? I know they are not normally worth the paper they are written on but i'm sure on my last warranty on my DC5 Teg the warranty stated that syncros were covered? If so I could/can get a claim in for it, at the same time give them a new clutch to fit (hopefully avoiding the clutch labour cost!!!)
Any thoughts or is it worth walking away? (Car is a 54 plate).
Cheers

thats the one, looks like it was taken in a park. Seemed straight enough but he was blatantly covering something up. All the cars on the forecourt were leathered off from the overnight dew (bar a couple), the 350Z was untouched. I had to book an appointment to come and view the car so surely he shouldve leathered it off first and got it prepared for me. It was still parked up against the wall (although the panels on that side were ok!!!!!).
Having seen a couple of blue ones on the road the last couple of days i'm kind of swaying away from them!!!! I saw a mint looking grey one the other day and it looked lovely in the sun!!!!
-
Both of the ones on independent garage fronts have been awful, badly painted / repaired and even the cars weren't in very good condition, the last one I looked at was an 04 with only 24k, looked more like 124k!!!! Panels out of line etc etc, the guy even told me on the phone that he cant fault it - he blind or something!!
I've hopefully got a good deal on the one tomorrow, plus he's a friend of mine so trust him (i think!!!!!!)!!!! I dont keep cars for very long mate so if its clean and i get a good deal, 6 months down the line no doubt it may be for sale again!!!!!!!!
-
Just looked and cant see it either!! Surely someone hasnt bought it!!
Garage was called transautotrading!! Think the url is www.transautotrading.co.uk
edit: just been on their website and its been taken off, someone phone em go on!!!!!

From experience in looking myself for the last few weeks I would definitely steer clear or garages, only main Nissan dealers. I've looked at 2 Azure blue ones that have been bought from main agents (one being from nissan and another part ex from VW) and both have been awful. Got me thinking that if they were good examples there is no reason why Nissan themselves wouldnt put them on their forecourt?!
private ones are good as well as they will be a bit cheaper and you can generally tell how well they've been looked after going by the owner etc etc...
I'm looking at a privately owned one (from here as it happens!!) tomorrow so fingers crossed it'll be the one for me!!!!!

Was an absolute nail!! Didnt drink last night so i could get an early start, met Matt off of here (A to Z his name on here I think!), drove round to Ruislip, supposedly mint - NOT!! Must have had a smack up the arse at some point, badly painted rear bumper and it wasnt even fitted correctly after, and the passenger door and front passenger wing had been painted, loads of laquer specles and orange peel over the panels. Not happy!!
Back to the drawing board!!
