Hi everyone… just joined and thought I would get involved with the z community. This is my 350 55 reg 36k miles and I’ve had for 2 years now… completely standard and keeping it that way. Bought it to stop the recurring dream of my old 200sx from 20 years ago. it didn’t work but have a fantastic car anyway.

	thanks for the add.

Hi all — new member here, though I've been reading the excellent threads for a little while now.
I'm Tim, based in Cumbria. I have a 2009 350Z HR (Z33) — 56k miles (photo attached) happy owner since 2012 🙂, completely standard and unmodified. My car's been off the road for a while and is currently mid-recommission.
A health check threw up the usual rear-end corrosion story — both stay brackets, the W-brace, and the 74510-AL500 floor panel. The floor panel was the tricky one (discontinued by Nissan, my local Nissan dealer thought it might need fabricating) — but a little research led me to a NOS example at YoshiParts in Japan, which I am looking to order. Couldn't have got there without the knowledge on here, so thank you in advance.
Looking forward to being part of the community. Cheers, Tim

Hi everyone! I'm importing an M35 Stagea estate with the 3.5 V6 so thought I'd join up here as there isn't much of a scene for those cars in the UK.

On a side note, I'm considering swapping the standard 17" alloys when the car comes in for 18" alloys which I believe are known as the 350z touring v2 rims. Firstly is anyone looking to sell some and how much do they normally go for? I'd also be after 2 sets of the rears only ie. the 18x8.5" wheels so I can fit 245/45/18s

Hi guys, technically I think I might have been a member of the forum for like 2 years, but only because I popped on a while back to ask a question about the 370Z. Took me long enough, but happy to say I've finally pulled the trigger on what is essentially my dream motor - a black/red Nismo 370Z!

I'm coming from a lightly tuned Peugeot RCZ 200, so as you can imagine this thing is a big step up when it comes to power, drama & handling! Looking forward to becoming a bit more active on the forum now that I actually own a Z!

I'm up in Scotland and tbh you don't see too many 370Zs up here full stop, never mind the Nismos. I actually see more 350Zs out and about, which is testament to what a great car they were too!

	Hi Forum Members

Full disclosure: I've joined this forum because I'm trying to help out a family member by selling their 350Z roadster for them. However I am mindful of the forum rules and keen not to annoy anyone. I'd like to find a new home for it more quickly than 6 months though!

Hi guys, I joined the Z club today when I picked myself up an almost stock and pretty rust free 350z earlier today. I'm not really planning on doing much with it other than getting it serviced and undersealed so it'll survive the typical Scottish winters.

If the weather's decent next weekend I'll probably break out the DA polisher and give it a good going over with a couple of different grades of compound before giving it a couple of coats of Chemical Guys Jet Seal to make sure it's nice and shiny.

Hi, hope we are all doing well.

I picked up a 2010 370z Roadster GT with 30k miles late last year, not really had chance to ran it until now.

It was completely standard aside from an axle back split exhaust of unknown make.

I wanted a Nismo spec, but I really wanted be a convertible for summer road trips and occasional track use, so I got the roadster and have done a few tweaks.

Mapped it to around 350 bhp, Z1 cold air intakes, DBA T3 rotors, Ferodo DS2500 pads, Hel SS brake lines, Moto RBF600 Fluid, Whiteline F/R ARB, JR 25mm spacers all round, Maxton front splitter, Maxton rear Defuser and a got a Roadster spoiler from the US and had it painted here.

(And a bit of engine bay detailing as was bored as I serviced it and replaced the serpentine belt during the winter ).

Kept the std; wheels, calipers and suspension as they all look/work fine.

(And I have stored every last standard bit taken off for the purists).

I've just come back from a trip to the Nürburgring and the car did not miss a beat.

It looks great, handles great, sounds great but it is still comfortable enough for 8 hour drives on the way there.

	Loving it!!!

	A few things I've spotted.

	1. Oil Temperature got up to 120c after a couple of laps so want to look at an oil cooler. Anyone got a make/Model they use and recommend?

	2. The Sat Nav is way out of date and the reversing camera was not ticked as an option. And I can't see the screen in sunshine with the top down.

Anyone fitted an aftermarket system the can recommend with DAB, Apple Play... also want to add a reversing camera?

	3. Any recommendations for a replacement exhaust? Road legal, extra power and better sound without breaking the bank.

Not looked into this in any detail yet, it may be a winter job.

You guys have already helped me as I ran a pre Ring shakedown at Cadwell after replacing the brakes and had the ESP, TC warning lights on and off all the time.

Looked at the posts and it was the brake fluid not on the max mark when driving hard, who would have guessed that?

And a member helped where to source the right Roadster spoiler which I much appreciate.

	Looking forward to participating.

	Hello everyone,

I collected my first 350z recently, a car I have been eager to get for a very long time.

However there are a few troubles with the car. It is misfiring bad, idling at around 2.5k RPM, then cutting out.

The car is a 2006 import. It has had a non rev-up engine swap at some point.

It is showing error codes P1078, P1084, P0078 and P0084. (Which relate to the exhaust vvt solenoids and cam sensors)

I can confirm that the previous owner had it running properly with this engine fitted so I don't believe it is a loom issue.

As the non rev-up VQ only has VVT on the intake side, any idea as to why these error codes could've popped up and how to resolve?

Thank you all in advance, really appreciate any tips or ideas.

	Hello all.

I've been hankering after a 350z for ages. My dearly beloved FTO which I had for 15 years recently exited this earthly realm due to the dreaded rot, so I've been looking for a Z as a replacement.

Been offered one approx. £5K, it's on 70K miles. It's quite a distance from me so I wanted to ask you fine people what you think of the underside - owner has sent me a video, which I've shared here via YouTube:

It looks like surface rust (?) apart from the ARBs which don't look great (might just be a wire brush and lanoguard job though) and this bit (attached image) which is a bit more worrying. I'm not sure what/where that is though. Is it a concern, or perhaps just a heat shield or something (forgive my ignorance, I got to know the FTO intimately but I'm new to these...)? The arches look OK.

	Hello all,

I was a member on here years ago! I had a 2004 Coupe and I've recently bought myself another.

It's a 2006 GT Roadster and I love it! - It's probably belonged to someone else on here. I've had it almost a year, started as my weekend toy but has become my daily this year due to a change of job.

More or less completely standard but I'm thinking of going boost... still a bit unsure.

	Cheers!

Hello all, sorry if this is the wrong place for this but I sold my 350z back in 2017 (to buy my first house with my now wife etc etc).

I’ve kept an eye on 350/370s ever since in the hope of owning one again but would love to buy back the exact one I sold, if I can find it.

The reg is SV54 GFK. I won’t share the location I sold from as the current owner may not want that (plus 9 years is a long time and it could be anywhere!). I can see that it’s currently SORNd but that’s it.

I hope I can find it but if not, I’ll keep looking here for a 370z in the coming months.

	Cheers!

	Hi all,

I have just purchased a 2011 370z so wanted to say hi! This has been a dream car and so chuffed I now have one since late December 2025. Unfortunately, I would love to say how great the experience has been but I have not been able to drive it as yet due to the clutch being on the floor. I had the CSC changed and new clutch by Kaizer Motors but clutch reservoir is now empty again and clutch pedal sticking. Hey ho, I hope it can be fixed soon so I can drive it and enjoy it.

Hi everyone. My name is Al. Bought my first 350 a couple of months ago and I'm loving it. It's a 2005 GT4. Very unlike me, bought it through auction unseen not test driven. Was sweating like a pig bidding. I must be mad what am I doing and it was 200 mile away. It didn't disappoint when I collected. I had face ache from grinning all the way home. Couple of niggles to sort but nothing major. Think I'll be in touch with ZManAlex for a couple parts soon

	Howdee folk!

	How's it all going?

My name is Adam, i am an old volvo fanatic and i am currently doing a little youtube documentary/series about my ole volvo 242 that has seen it's first daylight rays in may of 1981....

Now... You might think, how a volvo 242 is in any way related to the nissan 350z? Oh, here it goes...

My plan is to implement the whole rear running gear of a 350z into my 242, where the solid axle originally was. So there we go, now you know.

I have a youtube channel called Boosted242, same as my user name here, and have some videos of the previous shenanigans that happened with the car. Please have a looksie if you want to do so.

	https://www.youtube.com/@boosted242

I am hoping to learn alot about all the 350z bits and make it all happen and maybe, if all goes well, post it all here whenever it's being done.

	Cheers!

Ive joined because the G37X shares the same engine and probably other things as well.
Does anyone know the extremely common faults on these models for us to look out for? Thank you 🙏

OK so just scored my first 350z aged 53 n half!

Pretty damn chuffed as its convertible, blue, fast and very cheap. God's were shining as managed to get it for £2500 and was convinced I'd have to bosh a shed load into it as hadn't been motd or used since 2014. As it happens it's just passed MOT TODAY the day after I bought it and with only advisory being the flex in exhaust so will soon wrap and bubble gum this up.

It's totally box fresh, 2 owner (last owner crying cos I stole it) 61,000 miles, fsh, completely unmolested-standard with zero rust, couple stone chips on bonnet and an easy weensy scratch on rear bumper.

Blummin thing is overheating due to cooling fans not working so whipping them off in the morn for a strip down and rebuild in my lunch hour lol.

Quick question, heard plenum and throttle body spacers, cheeky performance panel filter, even cheekier decat n full exhaust wrap followed by a tickle of the frontal lobe via the local brain surgeon can squeeze a shade over 300bhp on a good day (with freezer blocks under the panel filter lol).

Really don't wanna go down the butcher mod route and get silly bit would be nice to give it a subtle tickle and the illusion of being unmolested with an extra 15bhp or so.

I'm guessing you guys in here will soon put me straight if I'm pishing in the wind and farting in the face of purity so all berations welcomed with aplomb.

Cheers crew (and please tell me I'm not the oldest fart in here or I'll start learning you about how we started rave culture, which I believe you lot still do when our grandads were bopping at the dance hall doing the jitter bug when we were your age).

Have fun and go easy on me or I'll have a zim-zimmer frame wobble.

	Hello everyone,

I am now the proud owner of a Nissan Fairlady z, my most expensive paperweight so far. I bought the car after an auto electrician stated all it needed was a 'master key'. Wow how simple could it be, roll on the car locksmith. He arrived to find that the transponder chip had not only left the building but also the key so it would have cranked forever without a spark of life.

It turns out that he cannot program a transponder chip on a JDM car, different BCM apparently from US and UK markets. I know there is Horsham Developments who can 'remove' the immobiliser from the ECU however I would be struggling to insure the car if this is done.

There are second hand BCM's on eBay and I'm wondering if replacing my Japanese one for a UK one would work or is it paired to the ECU.

Last resort is Nissan UK as I don't really fancy taken out a second mortgage and I don't know how helpful they would be anyway.

I would appreciate any advice regarding the BCM replacement option. Obviously a matching transponder chip with the BCM would be ideal.

	Regards

	Hello everyone,

I’ve been driving my 350Z for quite a while now, but I’ve just realised I never actually introduced myself here in the introduction section!

You can actually find my car thread over in the Wanted section — I bought the car thanks to this very forum.

It’s a 2006 RevUp model, and when I bought it, it had around 73,000 miles on the clock. Two years later, it’s now sitting at roughly 79,000 miles.

I wanted to share a bit about what’s been done to the car — both what it already had when I bought it and the modifications I’ve added since.

When I bought it, the car already had:

 Japan Racing JR5 Wheels

 ISR Catback Single Exit Exhaust

 ARC Air Intake System

 Nismo Style Front Lip

After driving it in this setup for quite some time, I decided to start making the updates I’d always dreamed of. There’s a long list in my head, but I’ll just share what I’ve done so far.

	It’s a bit of a story, so here goes…

When I first got the car, it already had a Nismo-style front lip. Personally, I didn’t love the look with just the front lip — it felt incomplete. So the first thing I did was order a set of side skirts from Tarmac Sportz and had them fitted. In my opinion, the car’s stance completely changed — it looked so much more balanced. Without the skirts, it really did look too plain.

Of course, with the new side skirts and front lip, the rear end started to look a bit empty. I’ve always loved the 380RS body kit, so after a lot of searching, I ordered a Nismo V3-style spoiler, again from Tarmac Sportz. Once fitted, it looked great — but it made me realise the rear spats needed updating too.

So I went back to Tarmac Sportz and ordered a set of Nismo N1-style rear spats, which really tied everything together in terms of the body kit. For now, that was the exterior just how I wanted it.

After another good stretch of driving, I started to feel that the car’s sound wasn’t quite doing it for me anymore. It still had the stock catalytic converters, so it was time for a decat. After some research, I decided to go for Berk Technology decats, which I thought would pair nicely with my ISR Single Exit exhaust. Once fitted — that raspy, aggressive tone was exactly what I’d been looking for.

I’ve never been a fan of the DE bonnet design, so I thought I’d upgrade to an HR bonnet. One thing led to another, and during the Black Friday sales I found myself ordering a Seibon carbon HR-style bonnet — couldn’t resist the deal!

Hello everyone, just got my first 2003 350z after looking for a project car for about 1 year, mechanically sound, but a rust bucket nevertheless:))) Has a paddle clutch from Tarmac fitted, yes it did give me a run for my money and yes - lots of fun in London traffic:)

Managed to make it look a bit more appealing and having lots of fun driving it.
