Need a little help here I know it's difficult to tell from photos but I've just sent my 04 Z into a lot of cal nissan specialist for a health check before heading off on a euro road trip finishing at the ring that I've been planning for months.

The guy seems very good at his job and thinks the car might be really far gone with rust and needing body panels welded in. Parts from Japan (not overnight) 6 weeks delivery meaning I've no chance of making the trip. Does anyone know of a UK body panel shop or if this is a common issue? Seems a bit extreme. haven't been under it in a bit and am away at work at the moment so can't go stabbing it myself for a week or so.

Could someone post a picture of the inner liner fitting for a v1 Nismo? I'm looking for if the liner fits behind or in front of the bottom of the friont-end lip. So a picture of the arch infront of the leading edge of the tyre.
I suspect mine is incorrect and as I need to take the front headlight off again (water inside) I can correct the fixing.
Many Thanks in Advance.

I've had my 350Z for 4 years and during this time it has had a rattle or something sounding more like a knock of a solid loose component on bodywork or another component. It appears to be coming from somewhere high up in front of me, possibly around or near the engine bulkhead. In the early days this drove me mad and I stripped out all of the dashboard and any loose items in front of the driver, along with all removeable items and components from the engine side of the bulkhead without finding anything (it didn't go away during this time). It appears to me to be something hidden inside or perhaps behind body panels, or in a cavity, but I can't locate the exact spot. It isn't any component that is visible and mounted on either side of the bulkhead. Has anyone else had a similar sounding rattle/knock and managed to locate it? All suggestions considered.

The passenger door hasn’t open from the outside since I bought the car back in Feb. I can open the door from the inside but it’s a massive pain. I’ve removed both door handles today for painting and I’ve discovered I can open the passenger door using the rod inside the door but I can’t open the door using the handle.

Hi guys, as title states, my front headlight washer caps look and feel loose. No sticking but there is a small gap between them and then bumper when I swear I remember them sitting nice and flush/tight to the bumper. Can any other Nismo owners confirm if they have similar issues or if the caps are just supposed to be that way. Any info would be greatly appreciated!

	Hi all,

Sad day as I cracked the Nismo's bumper on the way to the office. Long story short, big wall of water from the other lane by a lorry not slowing down and I ploughed straight through it. DRL is toast and so is the bumper but facia bits can be reused so not terrible. Car is Storm White so I'm dreading the paint matching game with the pearl.

Luckily I know someone at Nissan in the parts department and was given 20% off the new bumper and DRL.

Based in Oxfordshire, I'm being quoted between 600 and 1200 to repaint and fit. Is anyone on here familiar with pricing on a job like this (will require wing and bonnet blending). I've never used a body shop before so any advice would be fantastic.

	Thanks all!

	Hi Guys,

Having purchased a used 2015 370 Nismo with 47k on the clock, I was surprised on closer inspection to find upon it's first 'proper clean' that there is some corrosion forming under both of the wing mirrors (one side worse than other). Having searched the subject I can see this is fairly common and others have had the issue sorted under the 12 year anti-perforation warranty. However, I'm not going to be that lucky, as mine hasn't been serviced at Nissan in the most recent years.

My question to you all is, am I better off leaving it until it becomes obvious (at the minute it isn't really) or shall I get it sorted sooner rather than later? I understand the doors are aluminium so struggling to see how they are corroding so easily

Sorry about this, my second question in two days, but I have only had the car a few weeks.

At the last phase of opening the roof, the lid (tonneau) is not closing completely and stays open a couple of inches. by raising and lowering a couple of times, I can usually get it to shut down.. Doesn’t always do it and it doesn’t do it when closing the roof.

I found a problem and you can see it in these two photos. It’s a new one on me, haven’t seen it before, but one side of the lid seems to come forward too far. and it’s catching on the trim.

Anyone done this. I know it comes from a place where 15 holes were drilled in the boot. Is it possible to use current holes from GT and maybe some adhesive then get rid of the protruding clips that are on the ducktail.

In US im seeing people just get a Nismo hatch or drill the boot and is a pain to line up. So ppl tend to avoid these and get a like for like ducktail instead...

im getting a set of new plates 330 x 165 and the bracket that’s on the car is the uk spec one and it’s broken, wobbles all over the place I’ve tried to tighten it up but it looks like the plastic bracket it’s self is cracked and keeps wiggling when I drive.

does anyone know where I can get it.

Hi guys, might be a silly question, but have been told I need a new bonnet

I seem to have in my mind that it was possible to get a new DE bonnet from Nissan directly and it wasn't stupidly expensive?

Am I dreaming this up? Does anyone know who I need contact at Nissan to get one if it's possible?

	Thanks.

So, my wife's Z driver side door has been slowly getting worse over the last month or so with not wanting to release the door from the exterior door handle.

I removed the handle to see if I could work out what was going on and then the door card, both nice and easy, after you've worked out how to release the airbag connection.

Then I started on the metal anti-theft panel.

	What a ballache.....

It took me hours to get inside the metal panel behind the trim panel and even then I couldn't get it off properly and at what I needed to get at, I decided I wasn't spending half a day dismantling it and putting it back together.

But I did work out that the cable from handle to lock had stretched beyond tolerance.

Quick check with my buddy at Nissan to find out you have to buy the lock with both cables attached.... FFS

Thankfully my Nissan bud sorted me with staff rates so it got done for around the same as the part cost.

So, word of warning, no yanking those door handles in future..........

	Hi All

I had the tailgate not opening on one press of the release button and came up with a Heath Robinson fix (post linked below) which has now failedThe foam patch I used has compressed so much that it no longer works

Anyways, the left sided boot strut creaks and sticks as I lift the boot lid up. Do I need new struts or would something like a squirt of silicon lubricant free them up?

If new struts are needed, any suggestions on where to purchase at a good price. Thanks

I will also order some modified spring boot release replacements that I mentioned in my (now failed)Heath Robinson post fix
