Front Control Arms

Intro
Camber is the amount the wheels tilt when looking at the car from the front or rear. Negative (-) camber is when the wheels lean in at the top. Adding (-) camber will make the suspension more aggressive and improve handling, however it will also speed the wear of tires. Positive (+) camber is when the top of the tires are leaning out away from the car. This is undesireable especially on a sports car. When lowering with springs or coilovers, more negative camber is induced and should be corrected. Front camber is not adjustable on the Nissan 350z or Infiniti G35 from the factory. Several aftermarket companies have developed replacement adjustable front control arms. Most, if not all of these arms are focused on increasing performance and only permit the addition of (-) camber with a slight (+) adjustment. Due to the front suspension geometry and body design, there is limited (+) camber adjustment that is possible. The upper fender is in the way of the control arm during suspension compression.
