Fatigue is the major cause of connecting rod failure. At Carrillo Industries, they use proprietary steel, manufactured and forged to our their custom specifications. After experimenting with virtually every other reasonable material, they have found this chromium / nickel / vanadium / molybdenum FORGED alloy to be the best product to meet our stringent requirements for strength and durability. Carrillo connecting rods are fully machined to guarantee the removal of all surface imperfections in the forging. After heat treatment, each connecting rod is 100% magnaflux inspected and hardness checked, then machined to final size. Each set of rods is balanced and then shot peened to achieve the ultimate in strength and fatigue properties. |

Eagle is pleased to announce the release of forged 4340 chromoly H-beam rods for the Nissan VQ35 engines such as found in the 350Z, Maxima, Infinity G35 and others. A very economical high strength forged rod for the VQ35. Each rods weighs roughly 550grams. You will not find another comparable rod at this price! Made from Forged 4340, and all sets come with ARP 230,000 PSI Rod bolts, and silicon Bronze Bushings. Stock dimension fitment for VQ35 engines (all) with 3/8" ARP2000 bolts. |

Pauter Forged rods have been used in countless 350Z/G35 engine builds up. They have been tested beyond 600whp, and are easily good for 1000whp and beyond. These are truely the ulimate rod for high WHP VQ applications. Others will try to sell you lesser rods, becuase becuase they make higher margins on them, or becuase they dont have Pauter in stock, or readily availible. We are the largest distributor of Pauter rods for the VQ35 motor, so we usually have them in stock, or can source these rods very quickly. They are flawless out of the box, and come with ARP rod bolts.

The connecting rod is the vital link between the piston and power. When engine output is increased, the demands placed on the connecting rod increase as well. To ensure engine reliability in all conditions, original connecting rods should be replaced with heaby duty specification parts. We offer two types, depending on use, for most popular performance applications. Made from 4130 Chrome Molly steel .

HKS Forged Rods and Pistons
HKS Forged Piston & Connecting Rod Kit are now available for the Nissan VQ35DE engine. The combination of HKS Pistons, and Connecting Rods strengthens the VQ35DE engine substantially and allows the engine to increases revs to 7,200RPM. The HKS Piston & Connecting Rod Kit are engineered for forced induction applications and specifically designed for the factory crankshaft. The optional HKS VQ35DE Metal Head Gaskets are targeted for forced induction and high-horsepower naturally aspirated applications.
The HKS VQ35DE Pistons and Connecting Rods are forged from special alloys for strength and durability over their factory counterparts. The HKS Pistons lowers the compression ratio to 9.0, and the HKS Connecting Rods utilize an I-beam structure. The VQ35DE factory connecting rods have a tapered design which is a weak-point for high-horsepower applications. HKS Connecting Rods address this weakness by maintaining thickness from end to end. To prevent the need to perform balancing modifications to the factory crankshaft, HKS Pistons weigh the same as the factory pistons, and HKS Connecting Rods have the same weight distribution as the factory connecting rod.
